PetKey is a wonderful way to protect your beloved pet, when, Horror, she/he is lost. The one frustration was that I bought an information card, but did not realize I could add my pet's vaccinations, so I felt it necessary to buy another card, another $9.99.

Thankfully, we haven't had a need to use. The person on the phone was very pleasant

I used this service for the first time, as I had adopted my German Shepherd to update owner ship. I am awaiting for the ID information to come in the mail. It was simple.

Just enrolled in Pet Key. So far my experience has been positive. Easy enrollment for our dog. Web site easy to load information. Cost/fee reasonable for lifetime enrollment. I hope we never need to use the services but if we do I feel confident we will get professional response.

We registered through petkey because our vet’s chosen microchip (home again) wants a $20 per pet yearly fee in addition to the microchip fee. I was happy to find PetKey as they do offer the option of a lifetime registration for $46 without a yearly fee. I wish I had done a bit more research because you can register your microchip for free at foundanimals.org. We are now registered at both Petkey and found animals.

You can rest assured that there is a Universal Lookup that shelters and vets use to determine if a pet's microchip is registered. Petkey is one of the participating registries that does participate with this. You do need to have your pet's information registered in a database though in order for it to be researched. Unfortunately running these databases along with a 24 hour live call center to reunite pets and a lost pet alerting network does cost quite a bit of money so we are unfortunately not able to do all of this for free. We love what we do here at Petkey and most of all we hope that our members can enjoy peace of mind knowing in the event of an emergency we will be available to help you get your pet home safely as quickly as possible.

I received the paperwork when I adopted my Tessa. She came from a non kill shelter. I filed our the paper work immediately. We have her tag and it is wonderful. It has all her information.
