I’m very happy to have my dog microchipped. Thank goodness I have not had any issues involving her being lost or possibly stolen. I do know that my experience with Petkey online has been fast and way. I hope if any issues arise they will be on the job

Too expensive and complicated.

I am new to this whole microchip thing since I recently got a new pet so it occurred to me after getting him that his chip would need registering. I had no idea that it would cost money to keep it active. After researching several websites I chose PetKey since they offered a lifetime option. The website was easy to use. My only reason for 4 stars isn’t because of PetKey itself but because registering a chip costs money. It really should be free. If my cat hadn’t already been chipped I may not have done it since you have to pay to register the chip.

We decided to go with petkey because our dog already had a non active chip from the breeder....the people we spoke to on the phone were really nice however she told me I had to purchase the set and when I got online it indicated that it was like $20 cheaper to not get the tag ....we really didn't need it either....it did come with an interesting keychain that indicated if something happened to me this is who you should call excetera.... We have two people in our household and we are both on the account and they sent us 3 keychains.....all with one person's information on it so they really aren't even usable....and the price she told me and the price that I tried to pay online where two different prices.... they're definitely still some glitches to be worked out. I haven't used it with a Lost pet and I hope I don't have to so I can't really analyze that particular service. I was happy with my phone service...... Minus noticing two different rates Update Pet key promptly sent us a refund for the $20 which was admirable.

I check to make sure my dogs are registered and they always are. Other than that I have never had to locate a missing dog. I think it’s well worth the price to do the lifetime membership. The website is easy to navigate.
