I got a new petkey because the old one tore. The new one is metal and very much more sturdy. Very please with the process and feel so safe for my dog to have such a good ID.

Information re PetKey was provided by my veterinarian's office. I had just purchased a Boston Terrier puppy, and I wanted the best for him, especially in the unforeseen incident of him becoming lost or stolen. I had him microchipped, and PetKey sent me an identification tag with his name and my phone number. They also requested me to provide a picture - should it ever happen that my puppy became missing. Unfortunately bad things happen, and their website is certainly valuable in helping to find lost or stolen pets. I have his license and his name tag attached to his collar. It's a security factor that I would not be without.

Thankfully, we haven't needed to bring PetKey into our cat's lives, but in setting up the account for Milo, PetKey made it very easy for use and we felt confident that if Milo should somehow get out, PetKey will be there for us.

This is an awesome app. It allowed a what if type of person to add all information I thought was important. I feel much safer now.

I've only used PetKey for several months since I took in a kitten, and PetKey is the microchipping service my vet uses.. I was surprised when I received an email about a lost cat. I didn't know PetKey actively notifies people about missing pets, and I was impressed about that. I don't know who all are notified about a missing pet. I think it would be a good idea to notify vets and shelters in the area where the pet went missing to help that lost pet be returned home again.
