Didn't help me find where my cat was
Response from PetkeyOct 6, 2020
We are sorry to hear that you cat hasn't been found. Microchips are internal identifiers, not GPS locators. We hope that someone finds your cat and has her microchip scanned so she can be identified as yours.

Still haven't found my dog
Response from PetkeyOct 6, 2020
We are sorry to hear that your dog has not been found. A microchip is an internal identifier, not a GPS tracker. We all wish it were a tracker and we could instantly reunite pets with their families. But, when someone does find your dog and have her scanned for a microchip, we'll be here to help her be identified as yours. We hope we hear something on your dog soon!

I have not rece6my tags and will be contacting my bank to let them know this and have them credit me back.
Response from PetkeySep 25, 2020
I don't show that you ordered a tag from Petkey. You registered your pet's microchip here, but no product is included. If you have questions on your order here, please give us a call at 866-699-3463 and one of our service reps will be happy to to explain.

Missing pet M.
They do not update the national microchip registry very frequently and I have concerns they engage in deceptive practices. My kitten went missing and I reported this to petKey. They generated a lost poster for me to print, but I didn't use it. Nonetheless, I received a voicemail from petkey that "one of my neighbors" called with some very generic advice to check garages. There is no way any of my neighbors would've had a way to contact petkey connected to my list pet report. They say they report your missing pet to local shelters. Petkey did no reporting and had no connection with any local pet shelters/ services. I contacted all my local and distant area shelters, vets, animal control etc. and filed missing pet reports myself after confirming they have no way to take missing pet reports from petkey. Do not waste your money with this company- they do not deliver on any of the services that would actually help! I never recovered my lost kitten.

We are sorry to hear that your kitten was never found. We do update the national registry frequently to add when a pet is registered. When we broadcast a lost pet alert, it does go to someone’s email at a shelter. Sadly, it’s difficult for volunteers to keep track of things like this when they are busy running a shelter, but someone is notified. We cannot control how they handle that notification, unfortunately. We broadcast lost pet alerts to a 25 mile radius of the address your pet is missing from, and post your pet at our website. This may explain how one of your neighbors knew to call us with their suggestion. We are sorry that you are unhappy with your service here, but rest assured nothing we do is deceptive. We are here to help get lost pets home.

Maybe my fault but I was ordering tag for a cat but received one for a dog - I see your reply is you only have one style of a tag well I don’t think very many people who have a cat want a tag that says “ Silidog on it!!
Response from PetkeySep 16, 2020
We only offer one tag. Our logo is on it - with a dog and a cat, but the tag itself is only sold in one size. It's intended for pets of many sizes. Silidog is a different company - they might include their name on the tags. If you got the wrong type of tag, you may want to contact them to fix it.

Immediately after adopting I was sent an email offering me services to pay for and register my pets chip. I fell for it and I paid for a lifetime prescription even though registration was already included in the adoption agreement. Your company let me register and pay for a chip that was already registered and included services. I waited and waited for my email regarding my free month of pet insurance. For some reason I had no trouble getting an email asking me to pay for something I already had. Unfortunately the email regarding the free pet insurance for a month went into my spam box instead of my mailbox. Of course I didn't discover this until 7 days was up and I was no longer eligible for the free insurance. Leaving me only one week to get my pet into a veterinarian's office, during a quarantine. A new pet owner, a new client to the veterinarian's office oh, and one week window to get my pet in because I was waiting for your email. Shady business if you ask me.

I'm afraid that you might have us confused with another company. We do not offer pet insurance, we only offer microchip registration. There is a different company offers registration and pet insurance, and they may have sent you the email that went to spam. You created an account here and a second registration for your pet after your adoption. I can promise you there is nothing shady about the work we do here for pets and their owners.

The number on the tag got mixed up. I didn’t know until I lost my dog and found out the people had been trying to get ahold of me but instead of the number ending in 80 the tag said 08....Luckily we found her.
