We are sorry to hear that your cat has not been found. A microchip is an internal identifier, not a GPS tracker. We all wish it were a tracker and we could instantly reunite pets with their families. But, when someone does find your cat and have him scanned for a microchip, we'll be here to help him be identified as yours. We hope we hear something on your cat soon!

Our companies are similar, but each offers slightly different services. The number on the collar is a great idea, we have those too, but unfortunately some pets go missing without a collar or lose it when they are missing. So, both microchips and numbered collars are valid methods for helping each of our companies get pets back home.

We are sorry to hear that your Vet did not explain the costs of micro chip implanting and microchip registration very well. Some Vets do offer registration price included in the cost of micro chipping your pet, and some do not. We are very happy to have you as a member of Petkey!
