Overpriced and now being bought out by a superior service, yet you keep taking the money!

We are not being bought out by any other company so you may have confused us with a different company.

The reason I’m leaving a bad review is because I decided to get my dog microchipped at San Diego Affordable Spay and Neuter Clinic, and it was not in writing on any papers I signed and no one informed me that there would be an additional $45 to register her with your company online to activate the microchip on top of what I paid at the vet. I haven’t had to use the microchip yet so I won’t say anything bad about Petkey, besides that you should make sure that vets using your service inform people about the additional charge before they pay to put the microchip in their pets.

Cost too high for what little service is provided.

Extremely deceptive advertising practices. I googled 'found.org' which is a free animal registry that my rescue center directed me to use. Unbeknowst to me, these scumbags at 'Petkey' have setup advertising on Google so that they come back at the top of results if you search for the free alternative to them. They don't care about your pet. They just want your money.
Response from PetkeyJul 29, 2021
We do advertise on Google and many other places as just another effort to get the word out on pets that are missing to as many people as possible. We wish we could do it all for free but there is quite a bit of expense that goes into supporting the technology and the people required to facilitate these services to reunite pets as quickly as possible.
