What happened to PayPal it is completely garbage now. Just had $100 sent to me by my wife and they won't even release it. I will never use this app again and I would advize you to get your money out before they suddenly freeze it.

Man , these people gave me the runaround for a whole three hours and I just called back in this lady was so rude and she was drunker than a skunk. She kept saying no, I'm not drunk.I just got a mask over my mouth WTF

I submitted a complaint after a product arrived that was faulty. My complaint was filed within the 30 days limit, but PayPal lied and used the order date not date of receipt against their own written policies. The merchant used a false email address claiming to be PayPal and it took us a week to figure that out. Hugely unhappy with the way we have been treated.

I often purchase items via PayPal, assuming my purchases will be protected, but I was wrong and I will no longer use PayPal to buy anything. I proved to them that a company I didn't receive a product from was a scam, but because the company provided a false proof of tracking, PayPal sided with them. My local post office confirmed that the package (from Cracklively) was never delivered to them, but PayPal refused to consider my claim.

Horrible experience. Talking with robots and staying stuck for months in "solving" some issues. Even to close the account is impossible. I'm tired of you

I'm no longer using Paypal as I have closed the bank account that was associated with my Paypal account. Paypal will not let me close my account-insisting I have an outstanding transaction which I do not have. I did make a formal complaint with the CFBD and Paypal told them the same thing-I have a pending transaction so my PP account can't be closed. PP won't even tell me what the "pending transaction" is--DO NOT OPEN A PAYPAL ACCOUNT--RUN!!!

My PayPal credit card account was hacked in May 2026. It took 3 months, 7 phone calls, a complaint submitted to the governmental Consumer Financial Protection Board and the Better Business Bureau for the unauthorized transactions to be refunded. In the waiting period, a payment was made to the now closed account in excess of the updated account balance and I have already called 3 times for a refund. There now is no activity on that account available since July 14. I cannot see the payment sent because they have removed my account access from my dashboard although I was told my current balance is $0. The overpayment was over $700. This company is unethical and far from consumer friendly. I've been on hold several times for over an hour, then been supposedly transferred to the department which could help me. Instead, I've been sent back to the main menu, and after struggling with the bot which answers, I have been transferred back to the department which cannot assist me. They have done everything they can to avoid reversing the unauthorized transactions and now to refund my overpayment. Stay away from them. If you have an account with them, close it immediately and take your business elsewhere.

I ordered a product advertised on Facebook with a Meta Trusted sticker on the site. I had no idea I was ordering something that was going to be sent from China, and take 2 months. I used PayPal thinking I was getting some protections. BTW - I was also charged 34% tax on my $49.99 purchase. Once the order was confirmed and money taken from my PayPal/credit card I started to inquire when I'd receive my order. The package finally left China after a month or so and they gave me a tracking number. A few updates were posted and it appeared my parcel hit my metropolitan area (Denver) and then nothing for 30 days. I contacted the seller a few times and they told me to be patient, it was "in transit". After 30 days with no updates I put the transaction in dispute with PayPal and requested a refund. In spite of my complaints and screen shot sent to PayPal they gave the seller another 7-10 days to respond to them. On the expiration date I contacted paypal and did not hear back. A few days later they closed my complaint and said they received confirmation from the seller that the product had been delivered to my mailbox and closed my dispute. There was nothing in my mailbox! PayPal's reply was that the seller "proved" on their end they delivered the product now I had to prove I didn't receive it. Seriously, how do you prove you don't have something? After hours fighting with AI bots and foreign call center reps their solution was for me to find the distributor, or USPS, and get something in writing that says they never delivered my item. Where is the consumer protection? Why did I use PayPal at all? I have been a PayPal client for over 20 years and their escalated response was we believe this foreign distributor and not our long term client. This over a $75 charge. Over and over again in the chat with the PayPal Customer Service Rep they repeat let us know when you get the proof that they product was not delivered and make sure it's within the 10 day appeals window or I guess I'm just out of luck. PayPal offers NO CUSTOMER PROTECTION WHATSOEVER! THEY ALSO FAIL TO SEE THE ABSURDITY OF THEIR POLICIES.
