Paycor seems great on the surface but when you get into details, is not that great. Their products are sub-par, only doing half of what was promised. The support is lacking on understanding, follow-up, and appropriate resolution. Paycor promises a lot but delivers only a little. Even sessions with our experts and managers are unhelpful; the answer is usually I will look into that. There is no solution focus, no understanding of urgency. And everything that would be helpful costs additional money.

Paycor is a strong HCM offering many capable tools. Payroll and benefits work well for our company of around 250 employees. Support is okay. Paycor will help you resolve issues, but it often takes multiple tries through support. Right now, we are working through OBBB changes. The biggest downside we have is Paycor has began raising prices. The last two years price has gone up roughly 5% each year with no additional value, and actually service is worse.

Customer Service has been awful. We submitted a ticket on 3/18 and it has still not be resolved. You can never just talk to one person. It has me re-thinking Paycor all together.

Better reporting tools. More consistent customer service experience - it's either great or it's not good at all - nothing in between.

We have been extremely disappointed with our experience using Paycor for EDI benefits feeds. The setup took nearly five months and cost $1,500, which meant half of our benefit year was already over before anything was even working. That completely defeats the purpose of having an automated feed in the first place. What has been most frustrating is that customer service has no ability to actually help or escalate the issue. You simply wait, follow up, and get no real answers while your team and employees are the ones dealing with the consequences. For a system that is supposed to create efficiency, this process has done the exact opposite. If you are considering Paycor for EDI feeds, be prepared for long delays, high setup costs, and very little support during the process.

I attempted to terminate my payroll service in November 2025. I followed all the prescribed steps. They then billed me again in December. I wrote a letter terminating my payroll service. They then billed me in January 2026. I was finally forced to go into my bank and close the account. That was the only way to stop the incorrect billing.
