After a number of years being instructor, I came to know that PADI is not reducing a single penny on the membership fees for next year, considering that the Covid kept us out of the sea for a large part of the year. No income, businesses devastated, and these guys have meanwhile reduced by half their entire staff and continue charging the FULL membership as if nothing happened worldwide with the virus. They chase and squeeze every single penny available, we are applying the crossover to SSI, BSAC, CMAS and RAID as soon as we can to flee from these PADI "businessmen". If you are considering to become Divemaster or Instructor, think twice and choose any other less greedy agency. Stay away from PADI.

Put another dollar in trifft es ganz genau. Es ist einfach nur noch dreist was dieser Laden sich erlaubt. Ich bedauere vor 5 Jahren dort meine Ausbildung angefangen zu haben und rate jedem sich eine andere Organisation zu suchen. Ich soll 40 Euro pro Brevet Zahlen um es in die app zu importieren. Ich werde zukünftig bei einer anderen Organisation weiterlernen. Ich bin froh zu hören dass die Zahlen von Padi zurück geben und andere Zertifizierer wie z.b. iac oder cmas auf dem Vormarsch sind. Man lernt dasselbe wenn nicht sogar mehr und bezahlt weniger.

Ich habe mich leider für den falschen Anbieter für meine Tauchausbildung entschieden! Das was Padi mit seinen Kunden macht ist reine Abzocke und juristisch bewertet Wucher!!! Man bezahlt teure Tauchkurse und bekommt am Ende jetzt nur noch eCards. Wenn man eine Plastikkarte je Kurs haben möchte wird man nun gezwungen 55€ je Karte zu bezahlen!!! Das Problem ist, dass viele Tauchbasen noch die Plastikkarten sehen wollen! Auch ist es eine Frechheit, wenn ich meinen OWD nun auch in der App anzeigen lassen will, dass ich dann 51€ für eine eCard bezahlen soll. Für was? Für den Import meiner Daten in die App - 51€!!! Das sollte doch gerade bei der Argumentation zur Abschaffung der klassischen Plastikkarten Und Vermeidung von Müll kostenfrei sein. Das ist doch ein Service, für den man seine Kunden nicht so abzocken kann. Ich hoffe, dass Padi seine Strategie hier schnellstmöglich im Sinne aller ändert! Ich werde nun die restliche Ausbildung bei SSI fortführen, wenn sich hier nichts ändert! Die Ausbildung bei den Tauschschule bewerte ich hiermit nicht negativ nur die Preispolitik des Unternehmens!

I've had the same issue before when I was trying to login to obtain online free dive manual. So I was trying to update my sons junior open water card to an adult. Login and find his record confirm it's him. It then takes me to another login screen. I enter the usual login details and it says invalid username and password. I even try the forgot password option and change it to another and then try and login again and it still does it! Terrible service

I was going to do my own review, but it seems the diving community has already chimed in on PADI's inability to effectively manage a program without price gouging customers while also under-delivering on a very poor user experience online. I can say this, the deeper you go, the worse it gets. Try SSI. I'm dual certified and SSI instructors and materials are leagues ahead of PADI. I'm not paid by SSI in any way. It's just that I have the unique experience of trying both and one (SSI) is actually getting customer's their monies worth. *Update - Sorry PADI Webmaster. I will not be writing PADI again. Last time I did I was cornered by my dive shop and asked to explain my e-mail. Then I had to do all this explaining, which I hoped to prevent by writing PADI directly. **Attention Divers - Be aware that if you write the webmaster or PADI, they will tie that to your personal record and make your dive shop "handle" it. I had no issues telling my shop what is wrong, but they knew it anyway and that's why I wrote PADI in the first place.

I have completed my open water course and recently registered for the dry suit and advanced open water courses. My medical form was blank when I completed it for the open water course as I don’t have any of the conditions listed. When I came to complete it again for the dry suit course I made the mistake of doing it on my phone and the cells jump around. It meant that the statements in the central column of the form were accidentally marked ‘yes’. I later completed the medical form for the advanced open water course on my laptop and that is of course blank because I don’t have any of the medical conditions listed. However, my local dive company cannot re-send the form for me to complete it accurately, so now I need a doctors note. To make things worse you can no longer contact the regional office to speak to anyone at PADI. It makes what should be a great experience incredibly difficult particularly under the current restrictions. DO NOT COMPLETE THE MEDICAL FORM ON ANY DEVICES.
