The sock wont connect to WiFi and I have tried everything they suggested plus some. I have spent hours tinkering with my internet and router settings. The customer service just sends you to their trouble shooting guides online. Good idea, terrible product.

I purchased the Owlet Cam 2 and Dream Sock Duo for $429.99, expecting a premium baby-monitoring system. Unfortunately, the camera has been incredibly disappointing, and my experience with Owlet’s customer service has made the situation even worse. The actual video quality is awful. We travel with our own Starlink internet system, and I’ve provided diagnostic results showing download speeds of 326.4 Mbps, upload speeds of 30 Mbps, and excellent camera signal strength. Yet Owlet continues to focus on my internet connection rather than addressing my concerns about the camera itself. Additionally, the camera is extremely inconvenient for families who travel. It requires repeated pairing when changing networks, even when returning to previously visited locations. The pairing process itself is frustratingly slow. However, my biggest complaint is how Owlet handled my request for assistance. After numerous emails, I provided my serial number, original purchase receipt, diagnostic results, and multiple screenshots. Their representative discussed the possibility of a warranty replacement and stated that if the recommended network adjustments didn’t resolve the video quality issues, we could proceed with the next steps toward a replacement. After all that back-and-forth, I was suddenly informed that my warranty had expired and that they couldn’t replace the camera. Here’s what makes this particularly frustrating: Owlet already had my original receipt and purchase date when they were discussing a potential replacement. Why wasn’t my warranty eligibility established before requiring additional troubleshooting and giving me the impression that a replacement was a possibility? As a stay-at-home mother caring for a young child, I don’t have unlimited time to spend troubleshooting a baby monitor or repeatedly explaining the same problem to customer service. I understand that warranties expire. What I don’t understand is why a company would continue discussing warranty replacement options without first verifying eligibility when it already had the necessary information. For a company marketing expensive products to parents, I expected considerably better quality, transparency, and customer service. I purchased Owlet because I wanted peace of mind when monitoring my daughter. Instead, I’ve experienced disappointing camera quality, an inconvenient product design, and an exhausting customer service experience. I would not purchase the Owlet Cam 2 again, and I would encourage other parents to carefully research their options before spending hundreds of dollars on this product. I have requested that my complaint be escalated to a supervisor and am awaiting a satisfactory resolution. I’ll update this review if Owlet addresses my concerns.

The sock triggers many false alarms and causes more frustration than it does good. The base station frequently goes offline, losing the signal and starting to complain. It is definitely not worth the money and leads to many bad nights due to the frustration it causes
