They're generally overpriced for the quality they offer. I tried them out because of a 15% off intro offer, but even with the discount they come out more expensive than other options out there. I unfortunately already put in an order for my item before I realized this, thinking it was risk-free as they have "free returns". I tried to cancel an hour or so later, tried online and also called them to explain but they eventually decided they won't. Neither would they price match. Their "free returns" only covers defective items, and doesn't cover finding the item cheaper elsewhere (they consider this "buyer's remorse"). Lesson learned - think twice before buying from them.

Buyers beware. I purchased a queen lucid foam matress and a wooden bedframe. The frame was cracked and broken and they shipped a twin matress instead of a queen, which we didn't realize until we had opened the box. They refused to allow us to return the bed saying they're not returnable after opening. 350.00 is an expensive lesson learned. I will never buy from this company again.

I purchased a $200 hair dryer supposedly brand new. It's the one my stylist uses, so I'm very familiar with it. The day I used it, I noticed a burning smell but thought that was just a new appliance, but when I turn the button on, there is a delay in it starting up. The motor whirs and revs and then it goes on. If you turn on another one, like I did at Ulta, that one went on immediately with no revving up sound. Overstock says they won't take the DEFECTIVE item back because it's a beauty product. This is such a horrible way to treat customers, especially when there are so many other online shopping experiences. I can guarantee you that I will NEVER shop at Overstock again.

Wish I could give zero stars. Was told my item would ship within 1-2 business days. Here we are six weeks later and they have no idea where my item even is, have not offered a refund or replacement and have placed all of the blame on the supplier and warehouse without taking any responsibility or offering any solutions. Will never place another order with them.

I ordered a bar cart which was delivered in good time. However, when I took it out the box, I discovered the glass on the top shelf was cracked badly. Took pictures of the cart and contacted company immediately. Was told to wait 3-4 business days for an email about a refund. 5 days later contacted them again, told again to wait 3-4 business days. 4 days later, was told the same thing! Finally 2 weeks later, got an email with a ridiculous long list of pictures I needed to send them, including pics of the box BEFORE I opened it (who does that?), pics of the inside of the box (what?!) and pics of the packaging materials (I’d had it 2 weeks by then, I wasn’t sat on a pile of bubble wrap and polystyrene). Told that nothing can be done with “just” the pictures of the damaged item. So now I’m HKD$1,500 poorer and I own a bar cart with a smashed shelf.

Bought a couch with a chase. It got delivered and the chase was a different color and we were missing a back couch pillow. We sent them a message and the response was you can send it all back or we can offer 100 dollars and keep what you have because we don’t have extra parts. It was over a thousand dollars so 100 isn’t good and boxing a couch up to ship back.

Horrible horrible horrible. I just moved and was sent a 15% coupon. I tried to use it on an item on sale but it’s NOT allowed. Who sends a welcome home coupon but doesn’t let you use it on anything on sale? I tried talking to them but they sent me 5 emails stating their policy. I went to wayfair and spent 2500. Told overstock being deceptive is a poor business practices.

This is a company not to be trusted as they do not pay their supplier's bills for services provided ... management's elitist attitude is alarming.. Our company dealt with OVERSTOCK.com in the best of faith and got "hosed" in the final as they never paid their bill...the descriptive word slime is applicable here...stay away!
