Purchased cabinet for $356.99 on 3/10. When it arrived it looked like someone had kicked it across a parking lot and it contained broken pieces. I requested an exchange on 3/17 for the exact same cabinet and received that item in the same damaged condition. It was also not the color I ordered. This time I requested a refund. On 4/5 I called to find out why my refund was taking so long and was told it hadn’t arrived back in the warehouse. It was then that I discovered that since the cabinet’s price had been changed to $309.44 that was all they intended to refund me. When I explained that I had paid $47.55 more than that they told me I had “purchased” the 2nd cabinet for the sale price. No amount of explaining that it is standard business procedure to refund the amount a customer pays not what the item currently sells for did any good. If I had originally purchased the item for $309.44 and it had gone off sale by the time I asked for a refund I wouldn’t have expected them to send me $356.99. I contacted the BBB and was refunded the $309.44 but am still working on getting the additional $47.55. I am not hopeful but I will be spreading the word to be very careful if you deal with this company. I never will again!

When I went to return a $76.00 item they wanted to charge me $49.00 shipping IF I wanted a refund to my credit card. If I took a credit to them they would ship it back for free. I will not do business with them again.

I purchased a carpet runner and when it arrived it looked cheap and I did not like it. I returned it and received $6.92 back on a $92.12 purchase because I was charged $85.19 for shipping back my return!! I had no idea overstock did not offer free returns. I am used to better companies (Nordstroms, Macys, Pottery Barn, etc.) that offer better quality products and free returns!! I won't be shopping with overstock anymore. It's too difficult to be sure of the products online and then if you are wrong have to pay almost $100 for a return - absurd!

I was thinking about buying an office chair from Overstock but after reading these reviews from previous customers I decided to steer clear of Overstock. I don't want to be another victim of them.

I ordered and received a rug that was described as navy and white. When I got it in it was black and white. I returned and ordered a white rug. I received a $10 refund from a $55.00 order. Never again.

I ordered a rug and the color didn’t match the description AT ALL. It’s way more trouble than it’s worth to return the rug now and Overstock won’t post my honest review on their site. Glad I just wasted $200!!

Terrible customer service. My light showed up that didn't look like the picture. To return it is now costing me $25 shipping. They won't take any responsibility and call the decision a "personal choice." Beware of shopping with these clowns. There's nothing I could have done differently accept avoid overstock. That's my advice to you.

Overstock.com refuses to delete my account and personal information, even though their Privacy Policy and California law require them to do so. I filled out their online form twice, but each time they sent me an email with a link, and when I clicked on the link it required that they send a verification code to my old phone number, which I no longer have. Their Privacy Policy says that I can also get my information deleted by emailing or calling them. I emailed them, but the auto reply said that I must submit the online form that I’d already submitted twice. I called them, and the representative said that I must fill out the online form, then he refused my request to speak to a supervisor, then he hung up on me.
