Unlike some of the other luxury planners who kept trying to push their standard Egypt trips on us, Mahmoud helped us put together something that fit our needs and expectations. He was very accommodating and patient but was not afraid to push back if he thought it necessary. Every logistic was handled with care and the guides that we had (1 for Cairo and 1 for outside Cairo) were outstanding. I could not have been more impressed with their knowledge, patience, and personality - you really could not do better than both Mustafa and Mahmoud (Hoteb). My wife and I really enjoyed the trip - Egypt has amazing people and a fantastic culture and history and it became so much more through because Mahmoud helped make it come alive.

A fantastic 11- day trip to Ejypt and Jordan
I had a fantastic 11- day trip to Ejypt and Jordan through Osiris Tours. There cannot be two opinions about the unmatched scale, beauty, and grandeur of monuments in Egypt and Jordan (Petra). It cannot be explained in words, one has to witness it directly to appreciate it. You will come away with a tremendous degree of respect (bordering on disbelief) for these ancient civilizations and their monuments as a manifestation of human skill, devotion, ingenuity, and determination seen thousands of years ago.
Osiris Tours put together a highly customized and well coordinated trip involving two countries, visits to multiple locations, various hotel accommodations (5*), and teams of highly dedicated and professional private guides, airport assistants and drivers. Everything worked flawlessly. I felt safe and very well attended to. Thank you!

Trip to Egypt with Osiris Tours
First we would like to thank you Mahmoud and Osiris Tours for making this trip as wonderful as it was. We really could have stayed another week just to enjoy Egypt even more. I have wanted to go to Egypt from as far back as I can remember and it was all that I hoped for.
To use 4 words to describe our experience they would be; friendly, exotic, safe, beautiful.
Right from when we landed and was met by Mahammad to the flight home everything went off like a hitch. The staff on the ground were prompt, knowledgeable, presentable and made sure that all our needs and wants were taken care of. The hotels that were suggested were excellent and on the boat tour “Sonesta Moon Goddess” we were upgraded to a suite which was a pleasant surprise. I must say that the service and staff from this boat was just fantastic.
We would like to give a special thanks to our tour guides Ahmed and Hassan, you can see that they really love what they do. I am glad they were chosen for us and would recommend them to anyone going to Egypt. They were able to get us to our site ahead of the tours which was great. We spent most of our time with Hassan (the Egyptologist), he made sure our time was full of interesting talk with his knowledge of the history and area of Luxor and Aswan. He went out of his way to make sure we were happy, even picked us up some roasted peanuts from a local shop on his time.

Fabulous trip
I just finished a ten day tour with Osiris and it was wonderful. The company has a great team of people in place to handle everything you need from meeting you at the airport and transporting you where you need to go. You are always accompanied by a well trained, licensed guide. The hotel accommodations were excellent and the tours were wonderful. We felt very safe the entire time we were there. Our tour included Cairo, Luxor, Aswan and Alexandria and each place had its particular charm. The cruise on the Nile was very enjoyable. Egypt has ancient history wherever you go and the tourist industry is very well regulated. Our guides were attentive and listened to us and our interests from what we wanted to see, what we might want to see and buy. We feel like we made friends and there are no words to explain our gratitude to Mostafa, Mohamed, Mohamed and Sam for taking such good care of us during the trip. We now feel like we have family in Egypt and hope to return again one day. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Great Tip to Egypt and Jordan
First I'd like to say that I've had the opportunity to travel to most corners of the world. Unfortunately, I have become a very picky traveler. I find that having personal tailored assistance in these remote destination makes the experience so much more pleasurable. I guess I've been stranded in too many foreign places where no one spoke English and the simple act of getting to your hotel can be overwhelming.
Fast forward to my latest trip to Egypt and Jordan. I'm a bit of a history and archeology buff and have always dreamed of traveling to the place where it all began. My friends privately told me, "stay away from Egypt. It's too early". I was traveling to France and Italy and I decided now is a perfect time. Pull the trigger.
As usual, I looked at every tour company that provided tailored tours of Egypt. I found most of the companies showcased deceptive offerings. I wanted special access to all the key sites and a guide who was a trained Egyptologist. I asked for quotes from various companies and they all seemed to double or triple the price when I changed any piece of the tour.
After careful review, I decided to go with Osiris Tours. The person who runs the operation in us is man names, Mahmoud. Mahmoud was very interesting. A trained Egyptologist himself he seemed to know exactly how To structure the tour in a way that would perfectly meet my needs. We spent about two weeks working thru the process and I found them to be extraordinarily flexible. I also told him I wanted to stay in nice hotels a get special access to all locations. I appreciate that they were very honest. I'm an ex CEO and the amount of bs the travel industry is overwhelming.
My review below high lite some my of the key considerations:
Quality of the accommodations - in a nutshell the accommodations were amazing. I had a suite at the four seasons in Cairo and the same at the Cataract in Ashwan then The Winter Palace in Luxor. I've stayed at very nice hotels and I can tell you the service and quality of the accommodations in Egypt are unparalleled.
Quality and knowledge of the guides - My guide for most of the trip (8 days Aswan to Luxor) was a gentleman name Hassan Mageed. I am very into history and I picked Osiris because the guides were Egyptologists. I have to say that Hassan was probably the best guide I've ever had. He has an incredible intellectual underpinning and hand manages every aspect of your trip such that it is perfect. I learned so much from him and now consider him to be a close friend as he is also an amazing human being.
Organization - Everything on the trip was planned to the minute. We always had a driver and a guide and they killed themselves to make sure I was happy and saw everything. All and all I am extremely impressed.
Price and value - Egypt is a great value. I stayed at 5-star hotels (example: four seasons in Cairo) and the service was impeccable. I kind of felt like royalty for the entire trip and was routinely whisked to the front of the line everywhere I went.
Conclusion - this is the first travel review I have ever written. I generally do not comment on the specific services I receive from a company, but in this case, I felt it be important. I want to say that coming from America I had a negative impression of what Egypt would be like. My actual experience couldn't have been further from that impression. Egyptians are warm and incredibly friendly. All they desire is for you to have a great trip and will go they great lengths to make it happen.
As I said I have had the opportunity to travel to many countries and found the history and archeology of Egypt to be unparalleled. There is an endless list of sites to see and things to learn. At times it can be a little overwhelming as it spans more than 5500 years but you will walk away from an infinitely deeper understanding of human history. Hats off to Osiris Tours. They did an incredible job!

The BEST tour company I have ever used!
Where do I even begin? I’ve wanted to go to Egypt for as long as I can possibly remember. And in recent years, have, like many of us bought into the hype that the country was not safe to travel to. After consulting with some family friends that live there, I very quickly realized that it’s all media hype and that Egypt is incredibly safe. And I can confirm that from upon touching down at the airport and throughout the entire 12 days in various cities that we spent there there, my husband and I felt nothing but extremely welcome and safe. The people are among the friendliest that I have met in any country I’ve visited (and I’ve traveled a lot). They were warm, welcoming, and just absolutely hospitable.
Our trip was amazing. But we could not have pulled it off without Osiris Tours. Upon deciding that we were going to go to Egypt for vacation, my husband and I began searching for tour groups. I stumbled upon Osiris Tours and am so lucky that I found them. After reaching out to them, the company owner, Mahmoud, immediately replied back via email and hopped right into planning our dream vacation. We had been talking with other companies but it was immediately apparent that he was our guy. He was so hospitable and friendly and accommodating and knowledgeable. As a former Egyptologist and tour guide who is from the country himself, Mahmoud really knows his stuff. My husband and I spent hours on the phone with him and he worked his butt off to put together a trip that went to all the places that we wanted and to make sure that we felt safe. He’d end each call with “I’m going to make some phone calls and call my guys on the ground” and he always followed up and made good on his promises. I’ve done other tour companies for trips overseas – Gate 1, Austin Lehman, ExPlorient, etc. and they were great but Osiris was by far the best tour company I have ever used. It’s so luxurious, the guides are phenomenal, and the company really cares about you and your experience. I’ve had other tours that I’ve booked that once you sign up, you are pawned off on local tour operators and that’s it but Osiris was available any time we had a question and even checked in mid trip to make sure that we were in good hands – and trust me, we were in great hands, the entire time!
Mahmoud put together an amazing 12-day itinerary for us that included 5 days in Cairo, 2 nights in Luxor, a 4 night Nile River Cruise, and a night in Aswan. And we were able to cross everything off our list that we wanted to do in Egypt. We rode camels in the desert and watched the sunset over the pyramids while sipping Bedouin tea with locals. We visited the Egyptian Museum and saw all of King Tut’s treasures. We went into the best tombs in the entire world in the Valley of the Kings and Queens including Queen Nefertari and King Seti. Mahmoud arranged for an air-conditioned private SUV to drive us out to Abu Simbel (which was AMAZING and so worth the long car trek).
Upon touching down at the airport, we were immediately met by an Osiris Tours rep named Muhammad. He took our passports and went to get our Egyptian visas for us. And that was just the beginning of the company’s 5-star service. We had our own air conditioned car (very important in the Egyptian heat) and English speaking Egyptianologist to accompany us wherever we went. In Cairo, Nermeen took care of us and took us through the market streets, to the museum, helped us decipher hieroglyphics inside the pyramids, and arranged all kinds of special experiences for us such as eating a traditional Iftar meal at a locals only restaurant during Ramadan sundown, experiencing a local Egyptian festival, and having tea with locals in the country’s oldest coffee shop.
Sam was our guy for the Luxor/Aswan portion and we could not have been luckier to have been paired up with him. He really went above and beyond to make sure that we had a great experience and was so gracious in accommodating everything that we needed and even taking tons of pictures for us (I must have left the country having snapped at least 3,000! – Nermeen took a ton for us too and helped us do all the silly ones where we pretended to be holding the pyramids, kissing the Great Sphinx, etc.). Those two really stood out but all of the guides were fantastic. The drivers were nice and kept us safe on the roads. Everyone associated with the company was just so wonderful.
The amount of knowledge that the Osiris tour guides have is uncanny. You can ask them anything about any artifact and they know their stuff. They would arrange our schedule daily so that it worked best with our energy level, jet lag status, and desires for the day – if we wanted to stay longer at one place we could, if we wanted to go somewhere not on the plan, they’d help us figure out how to do that, if we wanted to sleep in or get an earlier start, they made that happen. Sam even accompanied us on the Nile River cruise and took us to some local coffee shops and some of his favorite spots in little cities like Kom Ombo and Edfu. And he was so fun to hang out with. Leaving him behind in Egypt was really like parting ways with a good friend. Thank God for Facebook because I keep in touch with Sam and Nermeen and we chat all the time.
Go to Egypt. You will regret it if you don’t. Day 1 of my trip, standing outside the Great Pyramid in Giza, I had chills running through my body. I teared up at how magnificent the sites of the country were and really couldn’t believe that I almost didn’t go to this amazing place. And if you do it, go with Osiris Tours. My husband and I keep in touch with the company and are constantly checking out photos from their latest tours and drooling over them. I originally thought I’d go to Egypt once and that would be it but now I’m already talking about when we can go back. We will definitely be back and Mahmoud, we will be calling you to arrange it all for us again.
And again, one final push for the fact that you shouldn’t be afraid to travel to Egypt. Any drama the country has had over the years has been at the hand of a very small group of radicals. It’s no different than what is going on with the rest of the world and honestly I’d advise going to Egypt over many places in the world today that are popular tourist sites like Europe, etc. I never looked over my shoulder in Egypt. I felt safer than I do walking down the streets of Los Angeles half the time. The people of Egypt love Americans, love tourists, and are just the friendliest. Not going would be like saying you wouldn’t visit California because there was a bomb threat in Florida. The pyramids are waiting for you. So is King Tut and all the amazing things that the country has to offer. Go see them! And do it with Osiris Tours. They will ensure that your trip is fun, safe, and unbelievably memorable!

The trip was good and the tour company was good
The trip was good and the tour company was good. My wife has special dietary restrictions (No Gluten, No Dairy, etc.) and Egypt is a country that does not understand those restrictions. Osiris Tours did a great job working with our Nile cruise staff to make sure those things were easily dealt with. They even celebrated our wedding anniversary with sweets she can eat.
The Old Cataract Hotel in Aswan was beautiful, we would have stayed more days there if we could have.
We did not like the Amarante Pyramids Hotel. I said I didn't care about the hotel, just a safe clean place to sleep, but I should have spent a few extra dollars to go some place else. Half the staff was short or even rude and one day we didn't even get towels to take a shower, we kept asking for them, but after an hour I had to go down to the front desk to request them.
They day we drove to Alexandria, I wanted to see the Quitbay Citadel, but our guide showed me the first itinerary that he was planning our trip around and did not have to finial version that I worked out with the agency after I stressed that I wanted that to be part of our tour. The guide did his best and took us to see it from the outside, and even asked if they would let us in, but they had closed. I don't know were the miscommunication was, but I am disappointed that I missed it.
Their culture is to go all day with out eating. There were many days we had to ask to stop for food after 8 hours of not eating. If you eat small meals regularly, bring lots of snacks to help hold you over on those long days.

Hello Joel,
It was such a pleasure working with you. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to plan this very special trip for you and your wife.
As you have mentioned, we did our best to accommodate the special dietary restrictions for your wife. I personally communicated with the Nile cruise, your hotel in Luxor, your hotel in Aswan, and your hotel in Cairo to make sure they will accommodate you.
I’m really glad you enjoyed the Old Cataract hotel in Aswan. As you may remember, this was not part of your original itinerary but we included this free upgrade as an anniversary gift for you and your wife to ensure that you would have a memorable trip.
When we initially discussed the hotel in Cairo, you choose the Amarante Pyramids Hotel. You explained that you didn’t care about the hotel in Cairo, and you wanted to choose a budget option. We gave you two upgrade options to replace this hotel, but you wanted to go to the Amarante Pyramids Hotel and declined our offers. I totally understand your frustration with the service at this particular hotel but budget hotels don’t always come with the best service.
We also offered to include lunch meals during the tours to make it convenient for you and your wife. This way the drivers would accommodate you and plan their stops to include it in their daily schedules. However, you declined this offer and decided to take care of your lunches during the tours. Based on this, we expected that you would let the drivers know where and when you were ready to eat.
Last but not least, I’m sorry about the confusion in Alexandria and missing the Citadel tour. Taking into consideration that Alexandria is three hours away from Cairo made it difficult to fit everything into one day, including travelling back to Cairo that night. You were able to visit Pompey Pillar, Catacombs, the Library, and the Museum. We suggested starting early to be able to see everything including the Citadel, but unfortunately due to time constraints, we were unable to fit it in.
I’m glad that your overall experience with us was great and you enjoyed your trip.
Thank you for traveling with Osiris Tours and we can’t wait to plan your next adventure.
Thank you

Mahmoud was excellent - Osiris Tours is a 10+++
Mahmoud was excellent. My tour of Egypt was beyond anything I expected. I had 5* hotels in Egypt including a fantastic all suite Nile Cruise and a beautiful room at the Four Seasons in Cairo. Both of the tour guides score 10+ and went above and beyond just a simple tour. They made sure they understood what I was excited by at each site and made sure I found that. You can't go with with Mahmoud and Osiris Tours.
