Too many mistakes, lack of communication and poor customer service!
I hate being negative or leaving complaint but I've reached the end of my tether with the new ownership of "The Organic Gardening Catalogue" - avoid like the plague - you now have been warned! I've been buying from the Organic Catalogue for quite a few years now. Quality, reputation, efficiency and communication we're at the forefront until they were recently bought out. Instinctively, I thought this meant trouble for future orders but I decided to give Dobbies/Sutton's/Whoever else a try. My winter order for Spring trickled in, literally one seed packet at a time and which strected until June where I received a packet of cabbage seeds that had past their sowing date. My whole gardening plan had to be thrown out and revised to what order I received next. I should also highlight that at least 50% of my order was replaced with an alternative without prior notice. I've had to make do with this service and unfortunately it has turned out to be a real waste of a season. I had made my frustration known and was told a manager would call back to discuss what had gone wrong. Nobody ever did, even when I returned the call on several occasions. I recently received marketing information for a major sale of old stock. I was a little concerned that seed varieties may be phased out so I decided to buy several and give them the benefit of the doubt. I received one variety and have just received a sorry letter with a cheque refund for the remaining unfulfilled orders. So now I'll have to take time off from work to receive a refund for another mistake! This company has now completely lost my trust and I really feel out of pocket and time. At least I have lots of seeds from this year's order for next year.
