Called to renew my OnStar services to be charged an extra fee because they couldn't access a bank account. Didn't have access to the app during said time so I call and cancelled service because of the extra unexplained charges. Will not use OnStar ever again.

OnStar has the worse customer service I have ever encountered! They could not validate my account, could not provide roadside assistance for over 6 hours! Lousy communication! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THESE PEOPLE!! GET AAA instead!!!

I just purchased a new Cadillac Lyriq. It says I get three years of remote access. Whatever that is. However, when I go to the mycadillac app. It gives me a convoluted list of the plans I have. Some for three years. Some for eight years. Some for only 2 months. I can't find ANYONE that can explain this to me. I promised myself years go to NEVER buy another GM product. I should have kept my promise.

If you push the button and expect a person, don't, also do expect several minutes waiting and to be put on hold and to not get any help. They will also ask you to stop in traffic to do anything, how is that safe in any way! If it came with your new car give it a try, if not, DO NOT! Im called because I took the truck my wife drives and tried to switch profiles, its a simple button press, but I was at a light and started rolling onto an interstate highway and now am locked out of everything.. You actually have to STOP to switch, it takes more buttons and reading to aknoledge that then the single user selection, then you have to pull of the road in traffic, stop, press the button again and hope nobody slams into you to get any access to the system. EXTREAMLY DANGEROUS system, I would not buy another GM or any car with this so poorly thought of and programed system, IT WILL KILL YOU!

I renewed my OnStar subscrition in April 2024. In September 2024 My phone app for OnStar quit working, so I could not send navigation requests to my car, I could no longer start the car with my phone. I could no longer flash my lights or sound my car's horn with my phone. I have tried many, many times to reinstall and open the OnStar app on my phone ad while it appears to install, IT WILL NOT OPEN! I contacted OnStar and they told me their technicians were going to remedy the problem IN A MONTH! That time came and went and I called again and they said they would submit anouther service request to the technicians. Still waiting for remedy. My phone is supposed to work because it is a version 12 and the app is for phones with version 10 and above.

I have been an OnStar customer on and off for nearly a decade, with my last attempt at using the service in 2020. During that time, I encountered multiple instances where I had to wait an unreasonable amount of time for someone to assist me. These were not emergency calls, but the fact that I had to wait so long on five separate occasions to speak to someone is completely unacceptable. As a result, I discontinued the service, which also made the app unusable for communicating with my vehicles—a limitation that I find utterly absurd. After a few years without OnStar, I decided to give it another try today after purchasing a new used truck. Unfortunately, nothing has improved. I attempted to contact OnStar twice through the in-vehicle blue button and was left on hold for over three hours without ever speaking to anyone. Let me be clear: Who has the time to waste three hours just trying to reach customer support? This is outrageous and beyond frustrating. For a service that is supposed to offer peace of mind, you are failing on a fundamental level. I would expect much better response times and service from a company that prides itself on providing real-time assistance. This is not just inconvenient; it's a breach of trust and reliability. OnStar is failing its customers, and something must change immediately.
