One hour is just a deceptive name.
Sales people are deceptive - ruthlessly deceptive.
Had a ac to be replaced. The second floor was working fine. Convinced me to replace that too, at twice the cost of what I could have done that for. ( which I learned later- my fault). Now that replaced ac breaks down almost every month. - only been a few months.
If there is anyway I could get them to haul their junk out of my house and refund me, I will happily do it.
STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY, if you want to keep your peace of mind.

SCAM ALERT!!
SCAM ALERT!!
This company is a complete scam. They have been ripping me off for $20 per month and have not sent techs out for scheduled appointments. Now my a/c stopped working and they still refuse to send someone out. My $20 bought me a $1000 repair with a real a/c company. DO NOT use this sham of a business for your HVAC needs.

Do not use this company
Do not use this company. We called them because we like to use local businesses (Frisco) when we can. Our mistake. They charged us $600 to replace 2 capacitors that cost $20 on amazon and take 10-15min to install. I should have had the tech remove the new capacitors and just pay the $100 service visit fee, but it was 105 degrees out and I needed to get it fixed. They also put a full press upsell on their service plan. We will see how that goes considering some of the other reviews I have read. I was particularly annoyed because he knew exactly what the issue was when he walked up to the unit. It is a 2 year old Trane and it didn't not take more than 5min to determine it was the capacitor.

No Accountability
In July of 2022 we had several people out to quote us for a new AC for our home. Ultimately, we went with One Hour and were initially satisfied with the service, the unit, and the additional service plan that we purchased.
On Sunday, June 23rd, my husband noticed a drip coming from the ceiling in one of the bedrooms. Upon further inspection, he found that the copper line in the attic was leaking. We immediately called One Hour to come out and fix it. They came out the next day, Monday, June 24th, and their technician, Michael, said that the insulation around the copper line was old and disintegrating, and had not been replaced when we got the new unit. He fixed the part that was dripping, but by that point, much of the insulation we had blown into the attic in December of 2023 in that area was decimated and there were several cracks in the ceiling due to the water damage from the leaking line. Michael confirmed that the insulation on the line should have been replaced with the installation of the new unit. When we inquired about their process to fix the ceiling, Michael shared that his supervisor told him to tell us to claim it on our homeowner’s insurance.
Not satisfied with this answer, we reached out multiple times to speak with a manager. After waiting Monday evening, and all-day Tuesday, we were finally able to reach a manager on Wednesday, June 26th who was available to come out on Friday, June 28th. The manager, Carl, showed up at our house an hour past the scheduled appointment time. We explained to him the situation and what Michael found, and we told him we just wanted One Hour to make our ceiling right since the problem was due to incomplete installation. We also explained that we subscribe to the company’s service plan and at least two, if not three, additional technicians have been in our attic, on schedule, to inspect and service our unit and its parts, and no one has ever brought this to our attention, leading us to believe that we have been receiving incomplete inspections. The manager looked at the damage to the ceiling as well as the copper line that was dripping and made notes. The manager argued that replacing the line insulation is not part of the installation of a new AC unit, but as consumers, my husband and I aren’t sure why that is the case. Additionally, we can’t figure out why no one ever brought to our attention that the insulation looks corroded and needs replacing even if it’s not part of the new install. We would have had One Hour replace it, no problem, but we didn’t know it wasn’t replaced at the time of the new unit install, and for the past almost two years, we have trusted that the technicians we have over to service the unit are checking everything and reporting back to us what needs attention. They certainly tell us when we need a new air filter.
We heard back from Carl, the manager, today and he said they will not be providing any compensation to repair the ceiling, which since his visit with us last Friday has gotten worse and looks like it is about to fall in. We trusted this company as AC experts and not only did they fail us when it came to a complete install, but they have also failed us in terms of making the incomplete install right. This is distressing as all we wanted was for them to take accountability for their mistake and compensate us for the damages. We didn’t want to leave a negative review, we didn’t want to cancel our service plan with them, we didn’t want to take them to court, but they are forcing our hand by not righting the situation.
We understand that mistakes happen and if One Hour had stepped up to the plate and taken care of us, we would recommend them; however, because they have denied accountability and refused to offer compensation to correct the damage, we regret doing business with them from the start and do not recommend their services.

This place is a JOKE
This place is a JOKE. First, you have a 'contract' and you're supposed to get a maintenance check twice a year. Good luck. It's October and I haven't had a single one. Second, they don't seem to have a grasp of the word 'schedule.' Twice I've been scheduled and...wait for it...nothing. Called them and they said they called to reschedule. NOPE! My phone is glued to me. No one called and they also said my part just came in today (the day of the repair appointment). Well, then why have they been calling since last Monday to schedule the repair? And let's not leave out the part that the last technician who 'fixed' my air conditioner put the compressor in UPSIDE DOWN. Don't waste your time or money with this unstructured organization.

Replacement HVAC system for new house
Replacement HVAC system for new house
In May, I had One Hour come to my home to install a new heat pump/AC system, and their partner company, Benjamin Franklin, was contracted with them to also replace a water heater at the same time. I have no serious problems with pricing or the customer service before the appointment or the actual technicians performing the service afterwards.
The problem was, after the work was completed. They had to come back a few days later to finish making things up to code. Cool, no problem. Then after that, the work was complete and I was told that the company would be in touch for any remaining steps that needed to be completed, or to follow up on a few questions that I had that the techs couldn't answer.
A week passes, I have heard nothing. I then spend several hours a week attempting to call or email or contact via their appointment request system on their website, just to have someone confirm everything is done, in addition to answer questions about the system they installed.
In the strange occurrence that someone actually picks up their phone (which is about once a month, with several attempts per week during normal business hours), they take my information and promise follow up, only to never be heard from again.
Weeks have now turned into FOUR MONTHS. I admit I stopped trying for about 2-3 weeks, but I tried again today, only to be told my address isn't in their service area and they can't help me. They INSTALLED the device. And I'm not in their area.
I give up. This company is not worth your time or money. I left a review on google, and someone responded to it asking me to call them. I'll let anyone reading this guess the result of that call.

FROM ONE HOUR TO FOUR DAYS
FROM ONE HOUR TO FOUR DAYS
TL/DR: Went four days without air conditioning that was finally fixed on Monday late afternoon
Where to begin? I guess I should say that I looked at review for this place on Apple and it had 5 stars, which is why I picked it. That was a HUGE mistake. Here is what happened:
THURSDAY
On Thursday night my AC started making weird noises and eventually just quit working. That night I called this company and was told they would be out the next day. Bear in mind this place is called "One Hour" air conditioning so I'm thinking they would be out early in the morning.
FRIDAY
About 2:30pm, after all day without AC, the technician shows up. He seems like a nice person and he begins troubleshooting. After a couple of hours he determines the cause is a fan that has broken in the intake unit in the attic. We talk price and come to an agreement. Then, after about 20 minutes, he tells me that the part he needs for the unit, because it is a 13 year old unit, is at a supplier. Here is where the fun begins. The supplier is only open until 4:30pm (It's 4:00pm now) and it's across Houston. There is NO way that is going to happen.
Knowing I can't be without AC for several days in record heat, I ask how much to replace the entire unit. He calls a "manager" (sales guy) and we talk about replacing the entire thing which turns out to be cost prohibitive because Bidennomics has killed our savings. I assess the situation and say that I'll wait until Monday then for them to fix the unit and figure something out.
Then he tells me I have to pay in advance and I get billed $2,845.00 for the cost of the part, fixing the unit on Monday, and their "maintenance plan". He assures me that he will get the part first thing Monday morning and will "do his best" to be here early Monday morning.
He departs and I'm left to figure out a way to keep my two kids, my wife, and myself cool until Monday.
Off to Home Depot we go! I went to get some cooling units and, knowing nothing about portable cooling, wound up getting three Hessaire portable evaporator units. DO NOT GET THESE UNITS FOR YOUR HOUSE. They do not cool your home, require constant filling up with water, and are mostly for outdoor "light" cooling. So, naturally, I had to return these.
Next, I bought three LG Portable Air Conditioners. They are really good units and, in smaller spaces, would probably be great. They did manage to make three rooms in our house livable (but pretty warm in the afternoon).
SATURDAY
We sweat a lot and my wife was not in the greatest of moods due to the heat. The kids took it pretty well.
SUNDAY
Now we are all surly since we have been three days without AC and everybody is just done with this stuff.
MONDAY
Thank God! Monday finally rolls around. We are SO ready to get our AC back. I get up early to do some work and patiently wait for the call from "One Hour" air conditioning. And wait. And wait. And wait. No call.
Around 8:45am, I call in and ask for an ETA. They tell me the part "needs to be ordered" and they don't have an estimate since dispatch isn't in the office yet. I ask them to call me back. They say they will.
Around 11:00am, I call back and ask for an ETA. They tell me that the part is "ordered" and they will call me back with a time. They never called back.
Around 12:00pm, I call again and ask for an ETA but now the person tells me that I have to understand "they have a process" and it just "takes time". I told him that I am officially pissed off and to let me talk to a manager. I talk to the manager and the manager promises to call me back with an ETA.
Finally, around 1:45pm I call back and tell the first guy to just let me talk to the manager. The manager looks up my information and tells me the part is "ordered" and they will update me when they have more information. I then proceed to tell them everything that has happened and they say, get this, "It sounds like you aren't getting good customer service." I'm not joking. They actually said those words. I couldn't help but just laugh and say, "No s**t. That's the understatement of the year." This person ALSO promises to call me back and I tell him that I have a $20 bet with my wife that he won't call me back.
Believe it or not, he actually does call me back around 2:45pm only to tell me the part is "in" and they will be out "sometime today". Seriously, you can't make this stuff up. After all that happened he said they would be out "sometime today" to fix the AC that had been out since Friday. Again, I just had to laugh.
It is currently 3:09pm and I am sweating in my office typing up this review while waiting for "One Hour" air conditioning to come fix my AC after four days.
Don't walk. RUN AWAY from this company.
