The whole process was simple and convenient! I received the results after the promised 2 to 3 weeks. The results dashboard is well-structured and easy to understand. The premium service, such as information about inflammation and metabolism, is super informative and interesting. The customer service is excellent!

They only allow picing one type of diet to give recommendations. I follow a Keto and FODMAP diet as the best way to manage my IBS-D. These snake oil sales people recommend an array of high FODMAP foods and a probiotic that will help with my completely nonexistent constipation. If I used the probiotic and ate what was recommended I'd never get off the toilet. Complete waste of money.

{Purchase Background} Purchased a microbiome kit with the full understanding that it was only a partial test, as Ombre labs only profiles bacteria- and not fungi, viral, etc as well. Never the less- the draw for me, as a consumer was the wellness insight that came along with that profiling Ombre claims to provide. Bought a few kits, activated one, provide the sample. Turn around for the whole thing was about 3 weeks I think. The information on the backside, for me, is best described as 'neat'. Nothing life changing but kind of trivial and fun. The whole experience was 'fine'. Not great. Not terrible. Fine. {Issues} They also claim to provide dietary suggestions- for me many of those were foods that I have allergies and intolerances too. When I voiced that in a review (their system prompted via email), customer service advised me that '[our] test only tests for the bacteria found in your sample, not food allergies nor does it measure immune responses.' I didn't reply to that- but if I had I would have said it was a dumb response from a company selling wellness insight based on gut biome. Particularly on a product that wanted to further monetize the test I ALREADY took with *additional* 'insight'. Also, since immune response and allergens *both* seem to be heavily influence by gut biome, I would at least expect some biomarkers or patterns to have been observed. Afterall- they ARE offering WELLNESS INSIGHT based on your poop sample. But I never that left response, and I never heard anything past that initial canned reply. Until today when the company AGAIN replied to my 'less than favorable review' with ' WE SEE CUSTOMER SERVICE HELPED YOU OUT' - no they didn't. I haven't heard anything from anyone. Fake optics. Really? You people are so sketchy. Also stop trying to sell me your 'supplements'.

I really appreciate the response to immediately send me a replacement kit at no cost to me. I was surprised to receive a kit with an leaked tube. But the representative was awesome! She forwarded my pictures and sent another kit by express! Thanks so much!
