Don’t waste your money/terrible customer service
3/14/26 once a year like clockwork, the evil customer service for nytix.com rears their ugly heads and replies to my over 6 year old review. I find it fascinating that they complain that negative reviews are at the top of trustpilot’s page on them, but they’re the ones who are reviving this dialogue. I don’t work for their competitor. I’m retired and have never worked for any if their competitors and this delusional little whackamole keeps popping up to claim I’m fake. I’m not. Hey NYTix, why would you think that rabidly attacking any of your customers who review you poorly would get your new customers? I’m actually surprised you’re still in business. Good night. 3/28/24 Updated AGAIN. Jeez this guy is a pain. This is my name. If you check my other review it’s very positive for a company that actually deserves a good review. I don’t know what is happening with this person‘s mental health that he keeps posting that I’m a fake person and a hacker every few weeks but I hope he gets the help he needs. Really because then maybe he’ll leave me alone. This has reached the level of personal harassment. ORIGINAL review: I just tried NYTIX. I was extremely disappointed because they listed shows on their promotional materials that they did not have discounts for. I did the 30 day period vs. the annual one. I was so disappointed in the offerings I asked for my money back. I noted in my email that the discounts they offered were exactly the same as Broadway box, theatermania, and Playbill. I figured that was the end of it until I got an extremely insulting reply from one of their customer service people telling me "whining about it" won't change anything. Here is an excerpt, verbatim. BTW, I do have subscriptions with TDF (excellent offerings for less money) and the NEW YORK TIMES & many others. Until they insulted me, I wasn't even going to post this. But how dare they? *** "This is not a bait and switch as you describe as we delivered to you exactly what we said we would, so we did not ‘switch’ anything. We stand by all the offers we list at (Link) which we update many times a day. As the free web sites disappear, which they have started to do, you will be left with no choice other than paying for a service like this. Now you may not like it, but whining about it will not change anything. We have to make money to run the service and I assume you don’t work for free? I think the cost is low and pretty reasonable, so I don’t give any quarter to the argument that it should be free because other places do it for free. I trust you don’t buy the New York Times, as CNN is free and all news is the same right?" Regards, [Name removed to comply with this website’s policies] Customer Service New York Show Tickets Inc. UPDATE! It took them over three years to suggest I'm not a real person as you can see by the comment below. And yet they still have not improved their services or dealt directly with the actual issues. I don't know why they feel that insulting people, denigrating them, or plain pretending they're not real is the right answer to a poor product. UPDATE 8/23/23. Now they're claiming I'm a fake. It feels desperate doesn't it? They're not responding to the issues I have raised. Attacks, name calling, years after my comments. Most customer relations departments for companies attempt to address a service issue or a comment on the quality of their offerings with apologies or a willingness to express different points of view by proving the complaint is inaccurate. But attacking the complaining customer? Not a great business model is it?Sigh. They can say what they want. I'm not going to deal with this anymore. I tried their service. It sucked. I left the service. Done. Update 10/28/23 they're really such losers. They're still trying to litigate a complaint from 2019?! And every time they reply with another insult, I respond within hours, but I'm a fake person? Sigh. Just don't go here, don't use their business, you see how they treat customers. Sad sad. Update: 12/19/23. They’re also liars because I have never negatively reviewed anybody else on trust pilot. The fact that they keep responding and lying and attacking negative reviews after more than four years and not just me but every negative review tells you that NYTIX are not a customer service forward business.
Response from New York Show Tickets Inc. NYTIXFeb 11, 2020
HM Kalmanson is a total FAKE name, and this reviewer is hiding behind their hacker title. They also posted other negative reviews from the same IP address about us, but Trustpilot does not seem to care about that. This person may be a paid reviewer from a competitor. That's out best guess, because they never made a purchase on our website. Trustpilot has changed their policy and they prioritize negative reviews at the top, which is a disgusting way of doing business as it makes it appear that we have more negative reviews than in reality. We have every right to respond to your false and derogatory posts and if you think by adding another false review is going to turn the temperature down, then you are very wrong. I suggest you delete your multiple posts and we go our separate ways, otherwise we will continue to defend our position. You started this. so you can end it too.
