Misinformation from recruitimg Advisors, multiple Advisor changes with no notice, they put me in wr9ng specialty program, was not made aware I needed to keep a 3.0 GPA in order to stay or graduate from program, regardless of how much money is spent already on my tuition or the fact I'm 3 classes from finishing. I dropped to a 2.87 GPA because I got a C in a class. ARE YOU FRICKING KIDDING ME!! This school has been the absolute worst this time around!!!

Horrible communication with advisors and instructors. Repeatedly reached out to an instructor because I had Covid really bad, no communication. Failed the class because after repeated reaching out to the instructor, nothing. Advisors are hard to reach. They just want your money. Zero stars, would not recommend.

Bad customer service. My advisor Noelle Morra made the experience bad. The fact that NU kept her as an employee made the experience being a NU student a nightmare. She was not responsive. Lacked empathy. And provided little to no support.

I would not recommend this institution to anyone.

1 star is generous. They raised prices 4 times during my time there. Teachers were zero help; expect to tech yourself. Communication with the university was a full days work. Even still I tried to sign up for their doctorate program because it is the only local option and I couldn't even get someone to call me back that ran the program I was interested in. The university since has sent me several emails, including the request for a review on Trustpilot, so I guess I will just keeping writing the reviews ;)

If you are looking to pay far more than double than you would attending a state school in exchange for the ease of 4 week classes and no rigor, NU is for you. If you are interested in actually learning, NU is not for you. The term “non profit” is meaningless and misleading. They may not have shareholders but they’re definitely robbing you blind. I experienced “professors” who got their “PhD” from no-name schools like NU or Phoenix literally tell us to RE-USE an assignment from a previous class. Another “professor” cancelled class because “the waves are too good to miss.” 90% of the time, the “professors” would read off slides NU clearly created and that they added nothing to for the first hour and the other 2-3 hours they would force us to sit in the classroom and give us independent work time. After NU, I went to CSU San Marcos for my MA. I was taught by some of the best professors I’ve ever had (far better than even at UCSD where I completed my undergrad) and paid 1/3 of what I did at NU.
