Terrible service. Advisors have no idea what they’re doing and keep giving different information. Fighting to get a catalog reinstated so one could finish a degree is a nightmare. Their programs are available in any other place. Run from them!

Dear prospective students, RUN!!!!
Honestly, I really regret choosing to attend National. After graduating from community college, I enrolled at National University. They had made me any great financial promises which is why I chose to attend this school. However, after 3 months of attending, I did not receive one of the scholarships I was promised. I called several departments searching to solve (what I believed to be) an issue with the payments system, but was given the run-around. I was constantly told to contact a different person or department. I spoke to finance, scholarships, my advisor, and waited weeks to hear from the office of the register. I even emailed the office of the president. After weeks of bombarding the school with daily emails and phone calls, I was finally called back and told this scholarship was no longer being offered. I had never been notified. And NU’s failure to provide the promised scholarship adds nearly $5,000 on to my tuition which I am paying for on my own at 20 years old. At this moment, I’m hoping to raise enough issue with NU that they choose to honor the scholarship. I’ve even been forced to get a parent involved as I feel this school is not taking me seriously. If they don’t decide to uphold their promises, my options are limited. If you’re a prospective student, do not go to this school. Save yourself from the lies and empty promises. No faculty member at this school seems to care about the students. They just want your money

Stay away!
Well, I’ve been a student with NU since December 2020. The instructors are a hit or miss. For the most part you will get some instructors that will grade students on writing abilities. For example, some instructors may be hired to be instructors for couples therapy, but the instructor will focus on the students quality of writing. This can result in the student being failed unfairly. And there is little to no student support from the lead faculty of the department in question. Lead faculty will not respond to questions when asking for help from abusive instructors. Student affairs is a joke as well. They never help at all. And for the amount of money people pay to attend NU it’s really a form of fraud because they’re only concerned with the student being able to pay for classes. That’s the only time NU really reach out to students. Other than that, good luck trying to speak with your assigned academic advisor. This school is ran like a strict for-profit institution. Bottom line is that students pay thousands of dollars to be their own academic guides, but yet are subject to be failed for not being aware of the instructor’s ego. I wouldn’t recommend this school to anyone ever. Go to a state university instead.

Waste of time
At the beginning of trying to apply for school it seem great, the advisors were communicating me of what I need to get done.
A month ago, they stop their communication with me and I am still waiting an Academic advisor to register me for classes. Nothing has been done. I am considering on going to another school just for their lack of communication with me.

Terrible communication with financial aid. They are not helpful or student centered. I also don’t think they’re compliant with federal TIV guidelines.
The portal is very confusing to navigate, which is strange since this college has so many online degree opportunities. Maybe they should use their money to invest in better platforms and FA staff.
