Too Many People in the Payment Process
We received an initial quote from NextStop Relocation without an in-home assessment. 5 weeks from the time we first communicated until 4 days prior to the actual move, no one spoke to us. We should have received an in-home assessment because there was plenty of time. When the actual movers showed up, the price increased from $3,971.26 to $9,671.00. A&M Movers showed up and would not touch our furniture until we agreed to pay an additional $5,700.00 after an hour of negotiating. From our perspective, this is a typical bait and switch scenario! Furthermore, A&M Movers, demolished my wine rack, stole my moving dolly, and bashed a hole in the back of my dresser. Through all the mishap, the movers were apologetic and told us to file a claim. Also, the movers unloaded the truck and set-up our bedrooms and kitchen furniture. No complaints with the movers, just the upfront Binding Moving Estimate.

We’re sorry to hear about the difficulties you encountered. Our quotes are based on an online system, not an in-home assessment, as explained by your salesperson at booking. You received an initial quote, then requested an adjustment and chose the lower-priced option, that didn't include packaging. The final price increased due to additional items and cubic feet on the moment of the pick up and that were not initially reported, and it also included a full packaging service added on-site, which we gave you with a discount included and you accepted to take it. We regret the confusion and the damage caused. Our customer service and claims team are addressing your concerns and working on a resolution.
