It's almost like New York Life wants to even make you sicker with warrior no callbacks after the documents are submitted and when they do call back it's just to tell you that they need more information after pages and pages of information. Then they tell you five day. Wait period for agency review But cannot meet their own five day quota on the review waiting while my bills are not able to wait gives you even more stress warrior and causes people to be even sicker than what they already are trying to deal with something so frustrating and such a headache when it definitely should not be this hard Just to get a response or get an approval on a case that was previously approved and the issue has not changed, but has got worse I would not recommend them to anyone.

Another thieving insurance company. They will do everything they can to screw you out making any payments. They will use lawyers & any fine print details to get out of their obligations to customers. Extremely unethical. You make premium payments & then they will refuse to pay. Stay away !

This whole process has been awful!! I’ve called and chatted so many times and yet to have been paid. I’ve received 2 partial payments since May. Can’t reach the case manager won’t pay me for something I pay for from my check awful

Slow to respond. Does not call back. Does not payout as they should. Constant excuses. Constant red tape. Has been Constant lies. Seems to be Outsourced. Only way to seem to get anywhere with them is to have to file formal complaints with the states insurance board.

Four years ago when my daughter was 8 years old I visited New York Life to discuss that when she turns 18 I would like for her to have a head start with funds. They talked me into this whole life policy that would have cash value. Was told she would have about $400,000 cash value putting in $400 month. Well life was happening fast didn’t pay attention to the policy until a couple of months ago. I noticed the life insurance was growing but I was losing money in the cash value! Well that’s what I was looking for the cash value to grow so when she turned 18, her college would be paid for, instead I was paying more in fees for what no one could tell me. Now to stop the whole transaction I have to pay another stop transaction fee. Paying $400 a month for four years I will now receive about $3800 dollars. The biggest rip off. Don’t believe these crooked agents, they lie in your face. I’m a veteran and I feel ashamed that I trusted NY Life.

Tried to assist a hospice patient with severe respiratory issues to cancel his policy. He got on the phone, told the agent he was cancelling the policy. The entire time, coughing, choking, as gasping. He gave his name. The agent required him to state his name, dob, policy number and address and last digits of his SS number. All the time hearing him struggle and knowing I was there to do it for him after he identified himself and what his business was. Really!! Anyone could give that information after he identified himself. You are even associated with AARP. You don't recognize medical situations. This was pathetic to witness. Do better.

I have 3 different Life Insurance policies with New York Life . A few years back I took a loan out on my oldest policy for something . Today , 5/22/2026 I called to pay said loan back , and I was informed that I could not pay said loan back unless I sent in a physical check or a money order ! Are you F … ing Kidding me ! This is 2026 , not 1926 !This of course is all designed to make paying back your loan more difficult and inconvenient . Thus , giving New York Life the opportunity to charge Old People , their customers MORE INTEREST . This is an underhanded/shady practice. For a company that is supposed to be in the business of helping people this policy is almost unimaginable . It should be illegal ! So , for anyone out there thinking about buying a Life Insurance Policy from New York Life you have to ask yourself this . Is this the type of Company that I really want to do business with . I would say to you NO ! There re companies out there that will not try and take advantage of you , but unfortunately New York Life is not one of them ! I would say shame on you New York Life for taking advantage of people like that, but devils have no shame.

I am 92 yrs old in 2 months in good health.. too old to buy cheap insurance I have been paying $139 monthly for approximately 20 years for a $15,000 policy and now they are offering policies for $60.00 a month and less. For policies that pay $25,000 and some pay $40,000.. I don’t see how this is fair?
