We Love Urtopia e-bikes! We started with the Carbon 1S - still have and ride them - then we got the Carbon 1 Pros and they are great too. Just bought one Atom step-thru bike recently and will probably get a second. We ride all of them and have them for when we want to family members or friends to ride with us.
Have to give a shout out to Reece for helping us with a new battery charger for the 1S bikes and for helping us trouble shoot if we have problems with the app.

I had an issue headlight
I had an issue with the integrated headlight on my Carbon 1S. And even though my bike is out of warranty, Reece from customer service was willing to replace the whole smart-bar free of charge. They could have said you can purchase a new smart-bar for the $400. But, as an act of good will they just sent one. That is awesome customer service from a great company!

Urtopia is my first E'Bike
Urtopia is my first E'Bike .didn't know this company before. I did not take a test drive. When my bike arrived at my home. To assemble it was very easy. My first ride was to my work about 10 miles one way. Very smooth ride, very fast too. Urtopia dose a nice job with the body style, unusual it stands out. Nice
Customer service, I purchased a light with a my bike. I realized I didn't need it. I contacted a customer service person named Stella. She was great, she told me to keep the light as a spear. They still sented my refund. Good business. Thank you Urtopia 😊

Carbon fold ST ebike 2+ months in
I bought the carbon fold ST ebike in August 2026, and have been riding regularly for the past 2+ months.
There are many pros of this bike. It’s lightweight, and I am able to carry it up and down steep flights of stairs with relative ease. The folding mechanism is fast, easy, and secure. The bike can fit in the trunk of my hatchback car. Despite smaller tires than an analog bike, the riding experience of the fold ST is good, made even better when you swap out the factory seat for a more shock-absorbing seat. The charging time is as advertised, and the max speed, particularly when the battery is fully charged, is also as advertised. (Max speed seems to dip once the battery gets to 2/5 bars.)
The largest con I have experienced is the mileage range. I bought this bike hoping I could commute to and from work, a 20 mile round-trip. The battery life of this bike is advertised as up to 44.4 miles, and this was tested on Eco mode (the lowest pedal assist mode), on flat roads, no throttle, with a 180 pound rider. I am 5’7” and 145 pounds. I live and work in New York City, and my commute is on paved, mostly flat, bike lanes. When my bike battery died as I tried biking one-way to work (approx. 10 miles), I reached out to support. The first technician asked for more information, and attempted to troubleshoot with me. I sent videos of my commute, showing the flat roads and the draining battery. Of note, I was using Smart mode, which generally provides greater pedal assist than Eco mode, however the majority of my ride showed that the motor power was 1/2 or less. I was not using throttle. The second support technician wrote,
“
Even when riding on mostly flat roads, actual riding conditions can still vary. Small inclines, road surface conditions, riding speed, assist level, tire pressure, temperature, and other factors can all affect the actual battery range.
Therefore, the actual range may vary from ride to ride and cannot be determined solely based on rider weight and whether the road is generally flat.
Thank you for your understanding.
“
When I asked for more clarification, I received a subsequent email with very similar language.
I have since figured out how to make it one-way to work on a full battery charge. I use a combination of Tour and Eco modes, with no throttle. It is somewhat frustrating to charge the bike two times a day and worry that the motor will die while riding; pedaling the 36lbs. bike in Eco mode is challenging enough, and biking with no pedal assist is very difficult. I am overall appreciative however that this bike affords me an option other than subway to get to work, and I would buy again.

Carbon Joy kickstand issue
The kickstand on my Carbon Joy sits close to the ground when in the upright position. Going over curbs it hits the curb and scraps the kickstand feet. Called support and they quickly shipped a new kickstand free of charge.

Mid drive Ebike owner since 2015 made the transition to rear hub motor
Since 2015, I have converted 6 bikes into EBikes and the 2 that I own are still running tremendously well. My conversions were by swapping out the Bottom bracket with a BBSHD Bafang Motor creating a 1500 Watt powerhouse. Coupled with a 20Ah battery - that makes for a very strong and reliable Ebike - BUT HEAVY. For years I have considered buying a commercial ebike but all options had shortcomings and none were carbon fiber until Urtopia. I had issues transitioning from mid motor to rear hub power until I tried one. The planetary gearing and mineraturation of the technology have achieved a very effective 90NM torque and 1250W peak output achieved the power I wanted to climb hills. The enclosed Samsung lithium batteries provide convenience and peace of mind it is not going to catch fire AND RANGE. I like to bike centuries and this enables my wife to join me with a quick charge top up at lunch. The Carbon Atom seat has a spring suspension cushion and the front fork is beefy so we can ride single track mountain biking. I wanted to wait for a manufacturer would implement a belt drive but I came to the conclusion that a beefy 8sp chain is superior because it can be fixed anywhere unlike a belt drive. Controls are intuitive and don't require pages of menus to navigate. A strong headlight and integrated dual tail lights into the frame provide excellent night visibility and turn signalling. Competitors often use cheap underpowered headlights and rarely offer a proper tail light visibility. Assembly took me an hour or so with assistance from a 16oz hazy double IPA. Hydraulic brakes were already centered and didn't need adjustment - KUDOS for the massive 203mm front disc for stopping power. Adjustable front stem allowed my wife a more upright posture. I enjoyed personal interaction with the support team that fast tracked sending me this bike for an upcoming 400 mile ride. Not much more I could say but Thank you Urtopia - extremely well done - I made this review voluntarily without compensation.
