Bait and switch
Bought an item with an unspecified use status. I was contacted after the purchase and told that the item I purchased was used and out of stock even though the website still showed in stock. Then they then tried to upsell me on a different item at a significant increase, also used. Very shady business practice.

Our intention was to help you find a hard-to-find part , not to upsell. We specialize in End-of-Life (EOL) parts, and most of what is listed on our website is refurbished. First time buyer and now a New Fan of Newtown Spares
I happened upon the Newtown Spares website from an Ebay link, and saw an SSD hard drive I wanted. I asked a question to what I thought was a "Bot", but turned out to be a very Kind & Patient Human Technician named Noah Walker that cleared up my questions which led to my purchase of a Samsung 850 Pro SSD Drive. I'll be recommending Newtown to my friends & shopping here again in the future. Great Company !!! Thanks Again Noah :-)

Excellent Sales/Customer Service!
Excellent sales/customer service experience! I recently placed an order for an NVMe SSD for a new PC build. The excellent sales team immediately reached out to ensure I knew that it was a refurbished unit (I did not realize that) and that it was thoroughly tested with an excellent warranty directly from New Town Spares. As it was an excellent price with an encouraging warranty for the refurbished unit (and new storage prices are currently going crazy with the original drive I was looking at on Amazon doubling in price with no sign of ever shipping), I jumped at the opportunity and excellent deal. I shared a couple website suggestions with the New Town Spares web team, but my overall experiece was exceptional as I was promptly greeted by a knowledgeable sales team that truly cares about the customer experience.

Kevin was extremely helpful throughout the QA process. He was patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain things clearly whenever I had questions. He made the experience much smoother and was very responsive and professional the entire time. I really appreciated his support and would definitely recommend working with him.

Used but almost as good as new.
I ordered a laptop drive and before it shipped they contacted me to let me know it was a refurbished one. I was going to cancel since the website didn't mention that and I didn't want to gamble but they assured me it had been tested so I agreed. When it arrived, I tested it and it was in almost new condition. Great-big saving! So, good customer contact, fast shipping and even a quick delivery confirmation. I'm deducting a star since the drive wasn't marked as a referb but the rest was all good.
