I ordered $9.00 worth of automotive ecu pins 25 to be exact. Selected next day air shipping on a Thursday evening thinking surely I’d receive them by Saturday... They didn’t create a shipping label until Friday at 8:00 pm so UPS didn’t pick up until Saturday. So Monday rolls around it shows my package in the wrong city but out for delivery. I call Newark and get the run around. At this point all I want is my shipping money back considering it was $85.00 for a 2 ounce package. I was told they would check with the warehouse. So needless to say I’ll never do business with these criminals again

Newark is just not worth the hassle.
Newark is just not worth the hassle.
We usually order from Digikey two or three times a week, but for some reason Newark was 1/3 the price on the major item needed so I made an order for 2 types of smd parts (10pcs each) and 100 for some 2-56 spacers.
They didn’t quote shipping at the time of the order.
I instantly got a confirmation email. Two days later, no invoice or shipping notice. I called and they couldn’t find the order then transferred me to reorder. The next person found the order right away and said it was held up because I ordered from the reel part number. She fixed that and then said two of the items would ship right away but the third (smd parts) would ship separately from the UK with an additional shipping charge. I asked to remove the UK item. A couple of days later I logged into Newark’s web site and my order wasn’t there. Just a past order for $1,500.
Today received a huge box with about 1 cubic inch of parts.
A bunch of clowns.
Guess I have been spoiled by Digikey

Thank you for the feedback on your experience. There are obviously multiple points that failed on this order and we are extremely sorry.
We'd love to be able to go back and do an investigation. Would you kindly provide us with the order number from the email confirmation you received? That will allow us to find the transaction history.

Product fine but some rusty CS. Problems resolved though.
Long lead time, and then problems with delivery on $11 order without approval for shipping cost. Resolved with some coaxing but shipping cost refunded to a more reasonable amount.

Worst Customer Service in the Industry
Worst Customer Service in the Industry
I ordered once from Newark, owing to the convenience of sourcing parts with Eagle's Design Link. Never, in my dozens of orders with the likes of Mouser, Digikey, Jameco, Tayda, etc. have I encountered such incompetence/laziness in customer service.
It started with an honest mistake on their part: a part was listed incorrectly with a minimum quantity of 1, and actually had minimum 500. I was notified via email and asked to call a customer service number. I called and had a very hard time understanding the accent of the person on the line and didn't want to rely on communicating things like part numbers and quantities, which are obviously best handled via email.
I emailed and asked for part #X to be replaced with part #Y "in the same quantity". Two days later, I received an email asking me for the quantity for part #Y. I replied with the quantity.
Another four days go by and I notice that part #Y is now listed as backordered. Somewhere in the 2-6 days it took their shoddy customer service to change one part number to another, the part had sold out. And I was not notified of the change.
I email asking to replace it with another part. A day later I got fed up and asked to cancel the remaining half of the order, which hadn't shipped yet. They refused to cancel, and outright ignored my second part replacement request.
Nowhere during this process did anyone admit to Newark's mistakes and oversights, nor did anyone offer bare-minimum, common-sense reconciliation like free expedited shipping.
At this point I am so livid that I'm re-sourcing all the parts on Mouser and will gladly eat the return shipping costs to send my order back to Newark, just so they don't get my business.
And to the Newark/Farnell shill responding to all these posts, I say whatever you're offering is too little, too late. Similar stories to mine on here going back years is a pretty good indication that Newark has zero intention on improving the quality of its customer service.
Oh yeah, and eight days after they caught the initial mistake (incorrect minimum part quantity), the part is still listed incorrectly. Happy sourcing.

bad customer service & they tell you wrong information
Slow response, horrible customer service. We were on the website and found 19 pieces of what we needed. We decided to buy all of it, and thought it would ship as soon as possible since it was IN STOCK. I even made sure with a number of people on the phone that it WAS IN STOCK. Every time I called their customer service, they would tell me to call a different number because someone else needs to help me. ????? I wasted so much time and energy on them and out of a handful of people I talked to about our order, only 1 of them knew what they were doing. I was told that it would ship on 3 different days. At one point they even told me they only had 16 out of the 19 pieces in stock and the other 3 would come in April when we placed the order in Feb.. Everything everyone at this company told me was very misleading, none of the information were accurate. We even got the tracking# after the shipment arrived. We even put our FedEx account# when we placed the order so they could use priority overnight shipping since we needed it ASAP, but they used UPS ground??? Overall, very slow and difficult company to work with.

if there was a rating lower they would get it, terrible customer service, will never do business with again.
ordered an in stock item (8 on hand) that should be able to ship the same day according to their website. Item shipped out 4 days later and arrived missing parts. I contacted the online customer service chat agent and explained the situation only to be told I needed to send in an email to customer service which I did. After several phone calls and another online chat I was told they would need to do a bin check that would take 1 day. 1-1/2 days later I called again to find out what was going on only to be told the warehouse hasn't responded yet and so they would escalate the bin check to a manager. Newark called me back later that day and told me half of the in stock items were missing parts and they would be sending me an RMA # to return the product and that I needed to reorder another item. The RMA was only for the item and shipping but not the sales tax I was charged, I emailed them back telling them I wanted the tax refunded also and they asked for my tax ID ! People that's not how it works. (still fighting this) I reordered the item again and didn't receive a proper order confirmation as I did on the original order, so I called them again. I was told everything was ok and the item was shipping out that day. It is now the following day and I still have nothing and see they still have the same quantity available in stock, so once again I called in. Was hung up on/ disconnected 3 times, told by one customer service rep after another that what the other person was doing wasn't right. Finally got to a rep who told me the computer system had crashed the previous day and all the orders were cancelled and the charges to my account will be refunded in 5 days! I'm not rich by any means but now I have almost $250 in outstanding charges with the same company for a $100 item and still no item to use! I expressed my frustrations to the rep and he offered to place a 3rd order to which I replied no way, we are done doing business, I will never order from Newark again or recommend them to anyone! Going to order from another vendor like I should have in the first place. THIS COMPANY SUCKS!!!

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE RIP OFF OUTFIT! BUYER BEWARE!!!!
I recently purchased this 4 Channel Mini Case 1080p Tribrid CVI DVR to replace a failed unit on my home surveillance system. What arrived was an empty shell of what appeared to be the correct unit but when we opened it up it was entirely empty. We scavenged the old DVR parts and reassembled them in the shell they sent, their add quoted I'd bought the full package. I left a negative review on their website and they scrubbed that clean after a day. What if they sold cars and you bought one and had it delivered only to find it empty under the hood? HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE RIP OFF OUTFIT! BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Finally!
OK, so now things get weird. My parcel turns up today – even though I have cancelled the order, as well as my credit card, and the latest invoice from Newark estimated my shipping date three months from now (even though it said the items were in stock).
Clearly Trust Pilot works – because now the company is talking to me after multiple emails and phone calls went unheeded.
Bottom line is, I don't think the shipping, accounts and websales departments talk to each other very well. It's all very disorganised.
But I have deleted my previous comment and given them a couple of extra stars for trying to sort out the mess.

Thank you for giving us a chance to make things right. We are working hard on making ourselves a better company. Trust Pilot gives us the chance to find those Cusotmers that may have slipped through the cracks so we can have a chance to make corrections. Thank you again for giving us a chance to making things right.
I hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
