This house was such a great spot for our group of friends to get together and just have some fun. Our days were full of adventure off and on the lake...we played a round at the gorgeous Northstar course (3 mins away), swam in the cool waters of Tahoe, and poked around the shops in Truckee. But honestly, the evenings were the best part. We'd hang out on the deck, swapping stories, and cracking jokes. And the stars were incredible on the upper level! This place had everything we needed and felt super cozy. We're already trying to figure out how to make this an annual thing! Will return and book again with Natural Retreats!

Everything was as advertised. The place was beautiful and the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed! Very close to the base lodge which was very convenient to get to the ski lift and summit. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

We stayed at the Fox Run house in Sun Valley Idaho. The house was well maintained. We did have a problem with the A/C, it was not working, the house was very warm, could not open windows as there were no screens. Sent a message on the second day, a management person came out on the third day, a Sunday and ‘did something’ and said if it was still a problem to let them know. Sent a message on Monday and they could not get a repairman out until Tuesday. They did drop off fans on Monday and we were told that the house was warm before our arrival, but nothing was done. The repairman did fix the problem but now it has been 5 days where the house was very warm, above 78 degrees, was very uncomfortable. They offered a credit for less than 1 nights fee. In dealing with them they denied that there was any problem with the A/C before our arrival, making us feel like liars. We have declined the refund as we do not feel it is enough for the 5 days of discomfort. Still waiting on a response.

Hello Dave, Thank you for your feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you found the Fox Run home well-maintained, but we are sorry that the air conditioning issue impacted your stay. We understand how frustrating and uncomfortable it must have been to experience elevated temperatures in the home for several days, particularly during a vacation. While we appreciate your acknowledgment of our team's efforts to respond, provide fans, and ultimately arrange for the repair, we recognize that the delay in fully resolving the issue fell short of the experience you expected and deserved. We also regret that you felt your concerns were not properly acknowledged during the resolution process. Clear communication and guest trust are extremely important to us, and we are sorry if our interactions left you feeling otherwise. Your feedback has been shared with our team for review as we continue working to improve both our response times and guest experience. We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention and thank you for staying with us.

Wonderful stay in the heart of Whitefish! We had an absolutely amazing time at this beautiful rental in Whitefish, MT. The unit was cozy, thoughtfully designed, and felt like a true home away from home. Everything we needed was right there—well-equipped and efficient, so we never had to worry about missing anything during our stay. The location was perfect. Being able to walk into town made exploring so easy and enjoyable—no hassle, just pure convenience. Having a dedicated parking space was a huge plus too; it took all the stress out of finding a spot and made coming and going effortless. We couldn’t have asked for a better base for our trip. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and charming stay in Whitefish!

P.S.
Not sure what this company is doing but I was left under impression they're trying to scheme people. Posting a good price property on VRBO, once the property booked and travel arrangments are done, they notify you they can't accomodate you suggesting "discounted" options outside of VRBO. Seems very shady
Response from Natural RetreatsAug 4, 2026
Hello. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are sorry to hear that the property you had originally booked on VRBO became unavailable, and that the process of providing an alternative accommodation through our rental program or issuing a full refund made you uncomfortable. We hope you were able to find the perfect vacation home.
