We stayed at the Fox Run house in Sun Valley Idaho. The house was well maintained. We did have a problem with the A/C, it was not working, the house was very warm, could not open windows as there were no screens. Sent a message on the second day, a management person came out on the third day, a Sunday and ‘did something’ and said if it was still a problem to let them know. Sent a message on Monday and they could not get a repairman out until Tuesday. They did drop off fans on Monday and we were told that the house was warm before our arrival, but nothing was done. The repairman did fix the problem but now it has been 5 days where the house was very warm, above 78 degrees, was very uncomfortable. They offered a credit for less than 1 nights fee. In dealing with them they denied that there was any problem with the A/C before our arrival, making us feel like liars. We have declined the refund as we do not feel it is enough for the 5 days of discomfort. Still waiting on a response.

We have stayed at this property before and were disappointed to find out the golf cart on premises is no longer useable by the guest which is not ideal for the property proximity to the beach. You can either walk or drive your vehicle which is not great because parking near the beach is limited and the walk is pretty far especially if you have children because you will be walking down the main road on Harbor Island. There is quite a bit of housing construction and other projects going on which makes makes it difficult for parking because the construction workers take up most of the vehicle parking near the beach. The property itself is very nice with great views out the front and back. You can also fish/crab out in the back yard which is also nice. I would normally recommend this property but because of the golf cart situation and the association doesn't allow you to rent one yourself I would probably think about getting a property closer to the beach or at least one that provides a golf cart.

I don't like leaving bad reviews, but I would like to share my experience with Natural Retreats (Nationwide management company). We checked in on a Monday, upon arriving we found the house to be pretty much what we were expecting from the photos. Couple of things we originally noticed were: a razor cover left in a shower, a loose kitchen sink control, a burner not lighting and staying on correctly, and some stains on the sheets in the downstairs bedroom. Sort of minor so I didn't think much of it and continued with our stay. Tuesday night into Wednesday morning we lost heat in the home and the stove would not work. NR was contacted at 7am and they said it would be early afternoon for someone to come out. Being that this was unacceptable, I demanded someone come down immediately. The property manager arrived and fixed all of the issues, except for the heat. That was because the home was out of gas. We were told that the gas company has had many issues and we are in an emergency and it should be filled up by 5pm. 5pm came and went. At that point it was very cold in the home. NR brought us heaters, and offered that if we wanted to move they had a similar place right down the block. At around 6pm when we were supposed to have gas, but did not, we made the move. The new house was fine, actually quite nice. After negotiations NR gave us a partial refund for our inconvenience and everything else went relatively smoothly. Overall I'm happy with how they treated us, but wish they were more on top of responding and if they knew gas has been a problem why not check every house before renting it.

Very frustrated....we arrived to find the cabin listed as a charcoal grill was actually gas. The tank was empty. The welcome packet was not at our cabin. The lower level room was mold infested all around the tub.....making my son in law sick. The event tickets are a nightmare to deal with unless you like being on hold for 45 minutes. This was not our first trip but may be our last. Just very disappointed all around.

Over a number of years we have stayed at Natural Retreats Fistral Bay and Trewhiddle. I have nothing negative to say about the standard of the accommodation at either site and for location both sites are excellent. However on our recent stay September 2014 in the Penthouse Fistral Bay we felt the vibe of the block had changed tremendously from luxury holiday to more residential with shoes outside doors, children running about babies crying and washing all over balconies. This wasn't because we are anti family/children as we have four grown up of our own but when you pay a premium for luxury you don't expect to hear birthing plans being discussed over screaming small children. So if you have children either site is good.....however of you are looking for peace tranquillity, romance and luxury go to Trewhiddle as the space between lodges affords you this.
