Raised ten disputes and reported for fraudulently taking money to PayPal. Precious rocks, gems and minerals magazine by National Geographic Seems like the company who run this magazine are on a smash and grab for money. I too randomly had 4 payments taken in one month, well over £100, my husband the same as we had two subscriptions for our children. I rang and they said it was to bring me up to date and they’d be taking no more as it’s all sorted and the issues would be with me within the week. Seems like they needed the money last month as others seem to have had this issue. Two weeks later they take a fifth payment and still no issues from the other 4 they took only a few weeks ago. Claims in with PayPal and fully escalated. Never again will I touch anything branded by National Geographic or the DB Factory.

Subscribed to the rocks and minerals magazine, have been charged £27.96 4 times in one month! When i contacted them via email they said it was so i could be brought up to date with the most recent issues, which doesn't make sense as i am constantly paying £27.96 every month, so surely i now don't have to make another payment for 3 months? It would be a lot easier if i just buy the magazines from the shop when they are released, at least then i wont be paying £120 a month, then It takes about 3 months to even get any magazines. I thought subscribing to a magazine made it cheaper and more convenient. Am due a so called free microscope and large geode rock soon as i am a premium subscriber, but I'm guessing the 3 extra payments i have made this month pay for them gifts and are not actually free at all, and it will be a nice surprise if i even receive those gifts or if they have conveniently forgotten about them too! As soon as i have received my free gifts i am entitled to i will be cancelling my subscription, this is the first and last magazine i will ever be subscribing to, this has been absolutely awful!

Awful! Payed for my monthly subscription to their Precious Rocks Gems and minerals magazine and received nothing, the contact number dose not work and now they are blocking e-mails.

Rang customer service 3 weeks ago as the second set of labels was missing from one of the issues. Promised they would post them out. Nothing............................ Looks like their about to fold anyway as the customer service number 0345 155 6396 is shut, and when you ring Data Base Factory (UK Company distributing the magazine you cant get through. National Geographic hang your head in shame

I have subscribed to national geographic for over 4 years and loved them. However, in the last year they have gone completely down hill. Here are a list of the issues I've had with them 1. Never received a magazine for September or October. 2. Was told sorry, we'll extend subscription. But we can't replace as we're completely out of stock. 3. Magically found stock for September and sent that to me. 4. Told me had none of October in stock to send me but said I could buy back issues from them. So clearly a lie about stock 5. Another missing month, another extended subscription 6. Now again no issue tell them, they say oh you're subscription was suspended. (Never once told me this) 7. Say they re-instated it, but told I won't receive April of May's issue (why it will take 2 months to re-instate is beyond comprehension)

How do you justify automatically renewing my annual subscription for the digital version, only for me to find all previous and new content is now essentially an unreadable PDF? After over 25 years a subscriber, I’m truly shocked and sad that such a good digital magazine has been reduced to this. I would strongly advise against anyone considering a subscription to the digital iPad version. If this is part of some bigger improvement, NG have a lot to answer for in terms of adequately communicating changes to subscribers. Abysmal.

Absolutely terrible. I thought last year was a one-off but I have problems yet again after paying for a 12 month magazine subscription. I paid, the money is taken, yet no confirmation email as promised, impossible to get in touch properly with staff, and when do eventually respond they are very slow. And of course no actual magazine arrives. Can't believe such a large organisation can be so inefficient in 2019. Sort it out.

I paid for an annual subscription of national geographic kids and I have never received a copy! I sent email and I got just a General and useless answers. I asked for my money back and nobody replayed. That's just a fraud.
