Very disappointing experience. I was paired with a coach who was extremely difficult to communicate with in a timely manner and whose limited English made it difficult to coordinate the lesson. Ultimately, the lesson never took place. I contacted the company within 2–3 days to explain what had happened and request a refund. They nevertheless withheld payment for one lesson, telling me that I had not notified them quickly enough and that they had already paid the coach—for a lesson that never actually occurred. I find it unreasonable to charge a customer for a service that was never provided, particularly when I raised the issue within a matter of days. Between the poor communication, the unsuccessful coach pairing and the handling of the refund, the experience was extremely frustrating. I would not recommend the service based on my experience.

After paying $1,381 for 12 lessons with a coach for a specific day and time, the coach told me that he was not available because he didn't properly update his calender on the site. He said I had to contact MyTennisLessons to get another instructor. Despite multiple phone calls and emails, nobody got back to me. I finally demanded a refund, but was still ignored. I ultimately had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Stay away from this website. UPDATE: Only after disputing the charge with my credit card company and writing the review here and on the BBB website, did someone from Mytennislessons.com get back to me and refund my money. They have asked me to take down this review, which I will not, because of the effort it took to get that response.

Absolute scam of a business, first instructor had almost no grasp of tennis techniques and offered little to no instruction. No frills, no tips, he was essentially a hitting partner who maybe played tennis a few times. Contacted the company and they switched out instructor, first lesson with him was good, but once the money for the 7 pre paid lessons was accepted, the instructor ghosted us. Will not respond to calls, emails, nor texts. The company has not offered any reimbursement yet. Avoid using “mytennislessons” at all cost. It’s a den of thieves

Save your time and money and don’t use mytennislessons. Tried 2 time to hire a tennis instructor. Instructor and company does not get back to you. Their instructor list is not updated. Poor customer service if you do talk to someone. Told me I need to keep trying to contact the instructor if I want lessons. They don’t care.

Coach was over 30 min late for the first class and a compete no-show for the second. Asked MyTennisLessons for a new coach on June 30. They said no problem and asked for my availability three times. I answered every time and got nowhere everytime. It is now July 9th, and I cannot reach anyone on the phone, chat, text, or email. Worst customer service ever.

I booked with Mytennislessons.com with coach Steven G. He sent me a message that he will revert back with schedule. Waited for 3 days for him to plan the schedule. I called the gentleman twice and followed up on whatsapp, the gentleman never replied and even the support team (JD) in Mytennislessons.com were not helpful, and said that they will delete the booking. So I lost 5 days just waiting for them to revert back with schedules. Absolutely waste of time !

I came here while looking for private tennis lessons in my area. Each instructor had a brief bio that allowed me to choose a good fit in my area. The problem was, once I paid, no one contacted me within 24 hours as promised. In fact, no one contacted me in 48 or 72 hours.. A few days later I reached out to the coach I was given the contact info for, and while I did not hear back from HIM, I heard back from someone at the company saying the coach could not offer lessons at this time. They offered to match me with another pro, but I did not want to go through the process again and decided to cancel. I'd recommend the traditional route of contacting your local club for lessons, as this site does not appear to get the job done, and likely also takes a cut of the lessons, making it more expensive for you!

MyTennisLessons appears to be a scam. They receive an up front payment for a minumum of 6 lessons. The customer selects an instructor, based on location, price and availability. The instructor then contacts the customer to arrange the lessons. After that, MytennisLessons pulls the bait and switch, and TELLS THE CUSTOMER WHO THEIR NEW INSTRUCTOR IS. The new instructor will be at a totally inconvenient location, much further than the location of lessons for the instructor that the CUSTOMER SELECTED. And the new instructor will be obese (about 140kg). Instructors who weigh that much cannot run, and therefore cannot play tennis. Oh, and as the customer, you will find yourself gathering tennis balls on behalf of the instructor 8 minutes before the end of the lesson. After the lesson with the obese instructor, the original instructor, with whom you made arrangements, will call you to schedule a lesson. And you will be like What the Heck, MyTennisLessons assigned me this really fat instructor at a new far away location, because I thought that you were not available. You are available? So, you and your original instructor will try to work with MyTennisLessons to resume the lessons, with the original instructor. But it seems that no one at MyTennisLessons actually works, because no one answers the phone, or responds to their chat function. They respond to emails, but it seems that the person who responds to emails is incompetent. You pursue a refund, and now see that a refund must be requested less than 24 hours following completion of the first lesson. HHMM, but they don't answer their own phone, so how would a refund be requested?
