I am very happy with my Gardyn! Had a little bit of trouble getting my device to pair with my internet, but the Gardyn team stepped right up to get it done. I love to garden outdoors and being able to do this inside during the winter brings me much joy. I love not only the tasty fruits and veggies, but the light and beautiful look of it. I definitely recommend.

The Gardyn was a surprise birthday gift from my wife and I couldn't be happier with it. I'm a gardening hobbyist and blogger and already had a few smaller hydroponic setups running in my home office. The Gardyn is a well thought-out vertical hydro garden with some nice built-in technology features. Support has been great with any questions and 5-weeks in, we're regularly harvesting greens and herbs with the tomatoes and peppers starting to flower already. Even if you don't usually have a green thumb, this thing is pretty foolproof.

I have several different hydroponic style systems from different brands. I decided to try the Gardyn to see how it compared, and am very surprised and happy with it! Gardyn exceeded my expectations and is now the system I will recommend to any of my friends or family looking to get into indoor homegrown vegetables. I have not had to call customer service yet, but they are constantly monitoring their Facebook page and providing feedback and answers to questions in a VERY timely manner. I did not purchase the membership when I bought my Gardyn since I am a more experienced grower. However, if you are new to gardening (especially indoor gardening) or tend to have a black thumb when it comes to plants, the membership will save you time and a lot of frustration. As part of my 30 day free membership trial, I could see the benefits of the Kelby assistant for anyone that wasn't sure what to do or when to do it, along with the free monthly replacement pods/plant food as part of full membership. If you're not sure if membership is worth it for you, you can do month to month membership until you decide, which is nice. The overall unit is about 2 ft wide and 1 ft deep, so it takes up a very small footprint compared to other indoor systems (about half the width compared to an Aerogarden Farm). Price also is equivalent to other hydroponic gardens that will grow the same number of plants. The boxes for shipping were sturdy and held up to the shipping company (the lights come in a separate box/shipment). Setup of the unit ideally took 2 people. For a single person it can be done, but you need something that can hold it up like a 3rd hand. Instructions recommended using the box it came in, but the box was too big to use for me. With the help of a second person, it took about a half hour to fully get it put together. Pairing the wifi was having issues at first, but after a couple attempts (and remembering to press the light button to reset it first), the pairing took. Others have mentioned more issues in this area, but said customer service helped them through it. I followed the steps to putting the pods in and starting the unit up. After about 5 days, I had over 75% of my pods growing already! The peppers and tomato took about 8 or 9 days before they were showing growth, but by the time Kelby told me to add plant food, all except my chives were well on their way! I'm now about 6 week in and I have more greens than I know what to do with. For 2 people you can easily harvest a decent sized salad 4 days a week and never run out. I've started making up "gift bags" of salad to give to my friends because it produces more than the 2 of us normally eat. The pepper plants are taking their time growing, but that is typical for peppers. The tomato I've got about 2 dozen little tomatoes growing that should be ready in a couple weeks. I even got thyme and dill to grow, which I've had no success with in other indoor gardens! Overall, while the price tag may seem a little steep, the Gardyn is worth the fresh produce you and your family will have access to. And knowing exactly how it was grown, with minimal effort on your part once the system is set up, is a great feeling.

Love my Gardyn! I can have fresh herbs, lettuce, peppers, and even tomatoes whenever I want as well as fresh flowers for the house. It looks beautiful, it’s very easy to use, and my experiences with customer service have been top-notch. We love ours so much we’re contemplating purchasing a second one. This is a full-proof way to unleash your inner gardener.

I'm most sure what I love most about Gardyn. Maybe it's the fresh, delicious, easy-to-grow veggies? Maybe it's the amazingly supportive community they've built online? Maybe it's the insanely attentive and responsive customer service? Maybe it's the fact that the tower is as functional as it is beautiful? Spoiler alert - it's all of those things and more! This system is worth every penny. Gardyn delivers on quality and customer service! The whole family (including the picky 4 year old) grazes on the tower all day! Now excuse me while I go buy another...

I know nothing really about gardening, hydroponics, plants, keeping things alive (exception of my son). I'm also a busy working professional in a senior role and working on an MBA. I do not have time, and I have limited patience for things that are fussy or too detailed. We got a Gardyn because we wanted fresh greens on demand, we wanted to reduce waste (greens going bad sitting in some back corner of the 'fridge), we wanted something pretty to look at, and as always, we wanted something kinda techy and groundbreaking. Gardyn satisifed all of this for us. We are several months in--coming up on the 6 month mark. We've made it through the initial growing cycle on several of our plants and have replaced them with new pods, which we are now harvesting. It went very smoothly. We get about 10 dinner plates of greens each week with some left over for family and neighbors. That's while also growing tomatoes and sweet peppers, which take up some room. Maintenance is a breeze--I fill up the water about once a week, every once in a while, I'll stuff any stray roots into the pod if they try to sneak out, and once a month, I wash the basin before I refill it with water. Dead easy. It looks like a little wall of green in the corner of our house, and we and family/friends love to look at it when they come over for quick, socially distanced visits. The lights are bright at first but then diffuses into a lovely mellow color once the plants germinate and get a little growth. We could not be happier. No technical issues, I put it together myself in about 45 mins with the directions, and their customer service is super responsive when I have random questions--make sure you join their Facebook group! We are eating so well these days and I can safely say this is thanks to the Gardyn. Looking forward to buying our second sometime next year. :)

I’ve always wanted to grow my own veggies to avoid pesticides from store bought veggies. What always held me back was having to deal with dirt and bugs outside. I considered trying the outdoor tower garden versions but my sister has it and even though she loves hers she’d complain about bug and mice problems. Since quarantine in march I’ve been working from home so I’ve had a little more time on my hands not having to commute :). When I saw the gardyn advertised on my Instagram feed I decided to give it a try especially since they offer 60 day returns I felt I had nothing to lose. Well once we set it up and got going I’ve never turned back nor felt at any point that I’d want to return it. It’s been over 3 months and I am very happy with my gardyn. I’ve learned how to germinate my own seeds using coffee filters and I’ve been able to plant the herbs from the gardyn outside in the dirt so I can keep growing new veggies in the gardyn. I’m now experimenting with different peppers like banana peppers, Thai chili peppers as well as cucumbers and Thai eggplants. All in all not only have we been able to grow our own veggies and eat healthier, the gardyn has also provided a great deal of entertainment during the lockdown. Cleaning the gardyn and pruning the plants also has a very zen like quality and brings calmness with it. I have no regrets buying the gardyn and it’s been worth every penny. Customer service has been great and the facebook group has been super helpful as well. I highly recommend the gardyn for anyone interested in growing their own veggies but doesn’t want to deal with the outdoor elements. :)

I love my Gardyn. I have had it for 3 or 4 months now. I am a chef by trade, so having fresh herbs always on hand is a huge bonus for me. I live in an apartment, so have only a tiny balcony for growing fresh produce, but now I have enough space to grow so much more! It's "dummy" proof and I don't have to remember anything - Kelby (the app) even tells me when to add water! I also like the membership because I can easily change out the plants as they bolt, or if I just want something a little different. They keep expanding their plant offerings, and I'm always excited to see what they will have next! Best investment I've made in a long time.
