GardynReviews of mygardyn.com

I love the plants and the overall hydroponic system is truly amazing. I receive no guidance whatsoever from the trial membership and would not pay $34.95 a month for a continued subscription because there’s not one thing that Kelby offered that I couldn’t read or obtain online. The time lapse never worked and the instructions on where to place the plant cups is not clear. I by trial and error have the most amazing plants.

Customer service was okay, but the product, not so much. I loved it in the beginning. But the maintenance on it is A LOT! It has had major malfunctions that require to tear the whole thing apart shortly after doing so for a deep clean. I simply do not have half a day to devote to it, so I have been watering by hand and keeping on a low light setting. This means I am not even getting any yield. Probably will just toss all plants until I can find time to tear it apart, clean it again, and put the new parts back on. Or I may just get rid of it. Update: I purchased an entire new base- that is what prompted the review. Not sure why you don't have record of it.

It’s nice but in hindsight we should have purchased Lettuce grow instead. This was relatively easy to assemble but the parts are super cheap. Done don’t quite line up all the way. We also bought the “nursery” which was incredibly overpriced ($70!) for what we got. It’s made of super cheap plastic and honestly, we could have made something similar ourselves. Their app stinks and it’s not easy to do anything unless you have a membership- like by empty y-cubes. You’d think those would be available in the shop but they aren’t. We received 6 cubes that never sprouted- again, unless you pay for membership on their app they won’t replace them. Here’s where they fall short: Lettuce Grow sends you with 3 week old seedlings, already growing little plants that are alive abs healthy. Gardyn sends you seed cubes that may or may not sprout….and you’ll have to wait 3-4 weeks to find out. Gardyn also isn’t easy to clean/change water and definitely needs 2 people.

Had a disease issue with cucumber, this absolutely HAD to come from the seed as there is no soil involved, nor is my unit outside, near other soil bound plants, or near a window/door. The first acknowledgement I received was that my diagnosis was incorrect, (I'm a master gardener), eventually the diagnosis was confirmed, the plant had to be destroyed, but no replacement was even offered! I will say that all responses were rapid, which I appreciated, just surprised that a replacement wasn't immediately sent. Love my Gardyn, we eat from it daily. I'd love more support, but the price for that support is beyond ridiculous considering we have internet access to anything needed.

Kelby really wasn’t worth the money spent. Half pods did not sprout as they should have. Even having a hydroponic system still takes lots of effort.

We were excited to get our gardyn set up but sad to discover that the app& WiFi can’t connect to our house WiFi because it’s too fast… surprising that even the 2.0 system is limited to operating on such old tech specs! Hoping that just the preset programs will get the job done (it needs a 2.4ghz system and anyone who has upgraded has 5.0 ghz).

Having a very difficult time having the Gardyn/wifi finding each other

I think you are charging way too much for the service you are providing and have a very unfair policy towards owners like me of more than one device. A membership should be a membership.
