I've had my Gardyn for over a month now, so I've had a chance to cycle through the normal maintenance. I've got to say it is really fun having a living garden inside. The food selection is tasty, can't get any fresher, and it looks pretty in the decor. That said, I think this is one adventure more for those who enjoy gardening than just convenient and healthy eating. Like an outside garden, it does require tending: weekly root trims, prompt harvesting, and a monthly water change. Lifting the top of the tank with the Gardyn in tact is a little tricky. And the tank is too heavy for me to lift when full of water. However, I purchased an aquarium siphon hose and plan to drain and fill from outside. Empty, I will easily be able to wipe out the tank. Long story short, it may not sound like it, but I am committed, and I think I love it. And, anyway, I have plenty of time to sweat the annual tear down for cleaning. Actually, the main part of that I dread is trying to pull apart and reconnect the plastic connections. The light is super bright, so I have it set for overnight. About ten of the seed pods didn't make it, but I understand the company will replace them at no charge. I'm just chalking them up to being a Gardyn newbie. Here is to a bountiful harvest!

My daughter has two Gardyns. After watching her tend to her Gardyns and harvest the veggies I decided to get one. I call her several times a week and tell her it’s the best purchase I ever made. My husband and I are eating more leafy greens than we ever have. It has been beneficial to our health and also weight loss for me. It is so nice not to have to go to the store or farmers market for the leafy greens I’m growing in our kitchen. I’ve also grown tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet peppers and sweet peas. I also like that I only have to rinse the veggies briefly if at all before I eat them. No rinsing out bugs or worms like the greens from a farmers market. It’s easy to maintain, I add water every couple of weeks and change the water out every 28 days. It’s nice having Kelby let me know when things are getting low or when I need to prune my veggies and or change the water. Customer support has always been available but I haven’t needed it much. I just had to figure things out in the beginning but now I’m extremely comfortable with the set up. I’m glad I got the one year membership and will most likely extend it for another year.

After only one month of tending to our Gardyn, I truly can’t imagine ever not having this in our home. We’ve already made smoothies and salads (almost every day) and I’ve been able to just snip off leaves and herbs throughout the day to “graze”. It’s been fun and rewarding to enjoy such delicious, fresh greens whenever we want so easily. Thank you Gardyn!

I love my Gardyn! I’ve always enjoyed gardening and now I can do it without all of the weeding, worrying about the weather, and chasing off deer and other animals that can wipe out a garden in a matter of minutes. I eat fresh salads almost daily now and it’s a beautiful addition to the decor in my living room. It definitely grabs the attention of everyone who walks through my door.
