5-star App! with delicious, filling, and easy and fast to prepare recipes. Shopping list makes weekly prep even simpler. Love all the choices of meal plans. AI assisted logging of "other foods" makes logging even easier. Tracking weight, glucose, BP, and food is a breeze.

I have been using the MyDiabetes app for 21 days. I have lost 8 pounds so far. I love the recipes, which is why I have stuck with this plan. I think that there are areas of improvement that could be made on the application to make it more user friendly. I have discovered that it is not easy to look for recipes if you don't "swap" a recipe that they have added for the one that you want. If for instance the app does not think that you should have a smoothie for dinner, then you cannot "swap" for that and Smoothies do not come up as a choice. I have had to get inventive with looking for sweets or doing a breakfast for dinner. Also, If you want a "sweet" then you have to look or "swap" with a dinner option...Sweets don't come up if you are swapping a breakfast or lunch item. Certain food categories don't come up as an option every time. Also, because I am single and shopping for one, I have had the same meal more that once and the app does not like that. I have learned to "favorite" recipes or they seem to disappear. I am not sure if this is my perception, but it feels accurate. I just can't afford to waste what I have bought because each recipe can have items that I don't have because previously I was not cooking for each meal. In addition, I attempted to change from a 1-month subscription to a 3-month and it doesn't appear to be an option, so I emailed the company through the contact form. I think that once some of these glitches are figured out that it will be easier to use. Again, the recipes are tasty and I am losing weight. I would love to see more healthy snack options. That's it for now. :)

This app takes all the guess work out of meal planning. If I don’t like a certain meal I can change it to something that sounds better. It also has me trying new things. I love this app. I’m losing weight and my a1c is coming down.
