There's probably nothing wrong with the app. However, I wish the website had told me it was strictly a phone app BEFORE I subscribed and paid. Customer service was very quick to resolve my problem -- so 5 stars to customer service.

Hello Ely,
Thank you for your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear that our customer service team was able to resolve your issue quickly and that you had a positive experience with their support. We’re sorry, however, that it wasn’t clear enough before your purchase that the program is primarily designed for use on a mobile device.
We understand that knowing the supported platform is important when deciding whether to subscribe, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We’ll share your feedback with the relevant team to help make this information clearer for future customers.
Best regards,

BEWARE! Three payment attempts in one day. Months AFTER cancellation of the service.
Edited- I’m very pleased to say that following my formal complaint, MyDiabetes has now refunded both payments in full (£95.99 and £42.00). I appreciate that the company has ultimately resolved the financial side of my complaint, although I remain concerned about how the situation arose in the first place and the considerable distress it caused. I was on the phone for almost an hour yesterday trying to sort this out with my credit card company. Completely avoidable.
Be very wary of this company. I signed up to MyDiabetes in January 2026, paying £28 for the initial trial. I decided the service wasn’t for me, cancelled, and then deleted the app (which states that all info is deleted. Clearly not!!) I have not used the service since since I cancelled and certainly won’t be using it again.
I was horrified to discover yesterday, 31 July 2026 — months after cancelling — that MyDiabetes had attempted to take multiple payments from me on the same day.
Two amounts, £95.99 and £42.00, are showing as pending transactions on my credit card.
There was then a further attempted payment of £95.99, which triggered a fraud/security alert and contact from my bank.
I contacted MyDiabetes immediately. Rather than properly addressing my concerns, their response simply stated that their records showed my “subscriptions” were still active, referred me to their Terms & Conditions and refused a refund. They have subsequently cancelled the account.
What I find particularly concerning is that their response did not explain why there were multiple payment attempts, why TWO different subscription amounts were being charged, or why a further £95.99 payment was attempted.
I have now made a formal complaint and requested a full explanation, evidence relating to the subscriptions they claim remained active, confirmation that EVERYTHING associated with my account has been cancelled, and reimbursement in full of any payments that are completed.
Adding insult to injury, after refusing my refund request, their response continued:
“That said, your experience truly matters to us, and we want to do our best to support you. If you’re open to it, we would really appreciate hearing more about what didn’t work for you or any challenges you’ve faced…”
What a nerve!!! I had already explained exactly what the problem was: multiple unexpected payment attempts months after I believed I had cancelled. I wasn’t asking for help getting more value from the service — I was asking them to explain the charges and return my money. Clearly NOT bothered about the customer- just themselves!
Having subsequently read other customers’ reviews reporting subscription and billing concerns, I wish I had read them before signing up. Please be very wary of this company.
This has caused me considerable distress and completely undermined my confidence in this company.
The irony isn’t lost on me that stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline can raise blood glucose.
Perhaps not quite the outcome you’d hope for from an app called MyDiabetes!
I will update this review to reflect how MyDiabetes responds to my formal complaint.

The program looked pretty good but I never really used it. Got a message today of a $72 charge on my card from them. $25 every 3 months is what I agreed to. I have canceled the subscription and requested a refund as I never agreed to that. Never again! Poor customer service and overcharging.

Hi Elizabeth,
We’re sorry to hear about your experience. Please note that not using the app does not automatically cancel an active subscription. MyDiabetes is a subscription-based service, and subscriptions remain active until they are canceled through the platform where they were purchased.
If you have already submitted a refund request, our team will review your case. If you have any additional questions or would like to discuss anything further, please contact us again at [email protected], and we’ll be happy to assist.
Best regards,

Menu and education needs work.
I'm giving this rating because the actual App didn't live up to expectations. The menu choices were limited and assume you have ingredients to hand immediately rather than planning ahead.
They don't explain WHY certain foods work better for diabetics and WHEN certain foods are better eaten at particular times of day etc.
I know how to eat healthy, I just wanted better coaching.

Hi Emily,
Thank you for your detailed feedback — we truly appreciate you taking the time to share it. We’re sorry to hear the app didn’t fully meet your expectations. Your comments about menu flexibility and wanting deeper explanations around why and when certain foods are recommended are very valuable, especially for users looking for more coaching-style guidance.
We’ll be sure to pass this along to our team as we continue improving both our educational content and meal planning experience. If you’d like to share more specific suggestions, feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] — we’d love to hear from you.
Best regards,
