Consumers Credit UnionReviews of myconsumers.org

I was having issues verifying my identity and Vito went above and beyond and not only helped solve the problem but helped me breathe and reboot. He was patient and understanding and most people in the world aren't, so thank you so much for being kind. Amanda was helpful too.

Terrible service and lack of ethics: They damaged our vehicle and refuse to take responsibilityRating: ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5)I want to warn everyone about the complete lack of professionalism and responsibility of this institution. My wife’s truck was repossessed. After making the required payment and settling the debt to recover it, they returned the vehicle to us completely crashed. The most outrageous part is not just the physical damage done to the truck, but their response: they flatly refused to take responsibility for the damages that occurred while the vehicle was under their custody. It is unacceptable for a financial institution to act with such negligence, return destroyed property after receiving their money, and wash their hands of the situation.Do not trust this entity. They mess with people's livelihoods and have absolutely no integrity or customer service.

Mother had a stroke, she's on the auto loan and her income was used to calculate the payment ammount. These scumbags won't work with us to reduce the payments, their solution was 'hey, pay us MORE in the long run!' Souless parasites.

This bank is antiquated! They live in a previous decade. I applied for an auto loan and they took forever to process the paperwork and would only MAIL a check to the dealership! The person I worked with, Jorge (last name rhymes with Bolero but starts with a V) in Illinois was slow and just unhelpful. I had to stay on top of him and make him do his job. would not recommend this bank whatsoever. I don't know how they process car loans and operate the way they do! Slow and ineffective.

I have been using this credit union for many years. The staff has always been attentive, helpful and very pleasant. I’d like to give a shout out to Nelma who works in the AH branch. She has helped me for years now. She noticed that my CD rolled over. I had not come in to renew it due to personal issues. She showed me that I could close out the rolled over one, pay the penalty of a few days and open a new one at a higher interest rate.Even with the penalty of a few days I would earn more money. I thanked her for looking out for me. I appreciate all that this beach does for its customers. Nelma is an excellent employee, so friendly and helpful! Bravo Consumers Credit Union in Arlington Heights!!!

I was previously a member of Meadows credit union and have stayed a member when CCU bought them out (total of 20 years, probably 5-6 at consumers). If it wasn’t such a pain to move banks, I would. Consumers is mostly awful. They make everything a lot more difficult than it has to be. Their customer service takes FOREVER and they provide incomplete or incorrect answers. For example, setting up auto pay. I had a visa with the bank forever. It’s always been on auto pay. I got a new card in the mail. One would assume like every other company, it remains on autopay. Wrong. Once I got a late fee notice I called… 30 minutes on the phone! I was told it will be quick it set it up online and was given instructions (it is not toggling on auto pay like every other company). A few days later I attempted to follow the instructions.. however my visa account wasn’t showing up. After contacting customer service again… it’s because it has a $0 balance. Would have been nice to be told that in the first place. Total time wasted: ~ 1 ish hours Same process at the 5 other credit cards I have: 5 min set up when you get the card. & they need to better train their AI chat bot or don’t use one at all. Gave me an answer for sending money outside of the bank.. 🙄

Bună ziua cum aș putea primi un credit de la dumneavoastră vă mulțumesc pentru răspuns

This credit union sucks!!!! They charge you a service fee to withdraw your own money. Don't do any business with them
