Muzata cable railing is a fine product and the customer service / engineering support is outstanding. That being said this is an expensive product and I think Muzata could do more to facilitate installation and periodic cable adjustment after installation. The 316 stainless steel cable and components are top notch with regard to long life and rust resistance and so too the fasteners used to tension the cable. Make no mistake this is a high-quality product from both materials and support aspects. I was just left with the feeling that it was overpriced for a couple of reasons. The spade drills included to bore the holes for the tensioners should have been full length spiral drill bits so the drill bore block remained engaged with the bit for the full depth of the hole. The drill block is a purchased item but for a product in this price category should have been included. I purchased drill bits and did not use the spade drills provided in the kit. I also ended up leaving off the sticky-back decorative washers for 2 reasons; one, they did not adhere to my oil-based stain / sealant and two, assuming they adhered in the first place, you wouldn't be able to access the fasteners to periodically adjust cable tension. I purchased PVC-coated cable which requires the coating to be stripped off the end before the tensioning fastener is assembled. The YouTube video I watched said the coating should be stripped off by using the cable cutter provided. I found this method had the potential of fraying the cable strands and that a #10 AWG cable stripper works great and should have been included as one of the installation tools. In summary I give this product a B+ and recommend it but suggest Muzata rethink how the decorative washers engage in the holes they're covering (or simply leave them out as I did), consider ways to facilitate installation such as those suggested in this review, and evaluate how they can reduce overall cost to the customer.

Ordered 6 packs of fittings and only received 5. Called customer support and they called me back later that day. They shipped the missing item and received it 2 days later. Good customer service and product. Used Muzata several times for railing projects.

The videos were very helpful, and made us realize how easy it is to install incredible looking cable railing. We are thrilled with the results!

This review is for the black stainless top-mount swageless cable rail assembly purchased directly from the Muzata website. Muzata made the process easy. I sent them a sketch and they sent me a complete list of all necessary hardware. I didn't have to research and separately buy a bunch of individual piece parts. They quickly responded to my pre-purchase/design questions and efficiently addressed them all. I was surprised at how quickly they replied to my enquiries. All hardware shipped quickly and arrived in perfect condition. The included installation instructions were pretty decent but there are more instructions and videos on their website and YouTube. The installation process is straightforward. I opted for the swageless connectors because I don't have a crimping tool. There were LOTS of small set screws to tighten (6 per cable x 10 cables for each run of handrail), so if I did it again I may opt for the swaged connectors. That being said, I just took my time and worked my way thru them all. A plus of using the swageless is that if you screw up a cut and need the cable to be a bit shorter, you can loosen the set screws and re-use the terminal. Can't do this if using a swaged connection. Cutting the stainless handrail was bit challenging, but I got through it. Used a hacksaw and a miter box. I'm sure there are easier ways.... Am glad to have a stainless handrail. It is very sturdy and will handle the elements. The installed handrail is beautiful. Looks very modern and I've received a lot of compliments. The price is very reasonable especially when compared to what you'll find at the box stores and I'm sure the quality is just as good if not better. I'll definitely purchase again the next time I have a handrail project.

Everything went smoothly from the original reaching out to the company, the design, ordering and receiving the railing. All of the components were in excellent condition. Drilling into unilock was hard, but after that installation was relatively easy. I have had many compliments on the look of the railing
