Looks amazing - wood used for posts can matter
We purchased a kit that had invisible tension screws. This was appealing for aesthetics as well as a simple enough system to work with. We love the look of the product. It is quite time consuming to install, but it looks amazing. The issue we have had is that the kit as given was not sufficient for a proper install, nor were there any warnings at the time about certain installations. We have a cedar top rail and posts. The provided drill bits that are specific to the build are too big ultimately for the tension screws. They slip and come out as soon as there is any amount of tension put on. We contacted Muzata regarding this and they offered a very fair and helpful solution to the trouble we had. I would not recommend the invisible tension screw system with a cedar post application. a pass through bolt would be a safer way to hold tension with that soft of wood.

Hello Isaac, Thank you for taking time sharing the detailed review – and I’m truly sorry to hear about the frustration you’ve experienced with the invisible tension system. I also appreciate you sharing that you love the look of the product, even though the installation process didn't meet your expectations. Thanks for pointing out the drill bit sizing issue and the lack of material warnings. This is valuable feedback, and we are already reviewing our instructions and drill bit specifications to prevent this from happening to other customers. We should have done a better job of advising on wood types and pre-drill requirements upfront – and I apologize that we didn't. I also understand that offering replacement tensioners alone didn't feel like enough support, especially after all the time you've already invested. That was not our intention, and I hear your frustration loud and clear. I'll reach out to you directly via email to discuss this matter. If we can find a way to resolve this to your satisfaction, I would be grateful for the opportunity to do so. Thank you again for giving us the chance to improve – and I hope we can still turn this experience around for you. Best regards, Sarah
