DO NOT USE THESE F*UKING SCAMMERS!
They will not let you cancel your account and will roll it over year after year.

Hi Stefan,
I am very sorry you had a poor experience with our renewal policy. We try to make it as clear as possible at checkout that, although you may be on a monthly payment plan, the subscription is still a yearly commitment. We also ensure that renewal notices are sent out a month in advance before a new term begins.
We are always trying to make our terms clear and easily understandable, and we are happy to hear any feedback you have.

Are you a small Youtube creator? RUN!!!
If you are a small YouTube creator who finances their channel through Patreon, the occasional sponsored video or affiliate links... *RUN!*
After 20 hours of editing a video with a sponsored segment that was due on a certain day and uploading it to the YouTube studio, the video gets flagged with two copyright claims for MusicBed songs.
When I go to clear them (which I shouldn't have to do to begin with), I am told that "The claim is not showing up on our end" (weird...) but also that "Because this channel's description has multiple links out to products/courses for purchase, an upgrade to a Business-level Subscription is needed to keep this video up and continue posting."
As a reminder, the "individual plan" is advertised as "Perfect for freelance filmmakers, wedding filmmakers, YouTube creators, and podcasters." and covers "SOCIAL FOLLOWING Up to 250K subscribers, DISTRIBUTION : Web/Social, Podcast and Includes Monetization"
But the best part comes when MusicBed describes what "links out to products/courses for purchase" are problematic. The two links that MusicBed wants me to remove are links to the channel's website and the channel Patreon's page.
And what does MusicBed think I should be paying to have those links up in the description of my videos? 100$/month, ie 3x the cost of the individual plan supposed to be "Perfect for freelance filmmakers, wedding filmmakers, YouTube creators, and podcasters".
MusicBed, you should really be clearer about who can buy your products and which one. Because if you are going to sell a service to a Youtube creator, you better believe that a lot of them will have a Patreon account and a website and probably even have the audacity to place those links in the description of their video...
Now, as a result of MusicBed's shenanigans, my video containing a sponsored segment is late to publish, which is resulting in a penalty on the fee I receive.
What a way to support creators MusicBed!!!

Don't create an account with this website! IT'S APPARENTLY IMPOSSIBLE TO USUBSCRIBE FROM EMAILS! Been in contact with them, and they told me that they would remove me from the mailing list, but i keep receiving mails still.
Response from MusicbedOct 3, 2023
Hey Caroline, I'm so sorry about this! There was an internal issue with our email platform that caused this issue.
I've verified that you have been removed from our email list.

They blocked my premium account after I…
They blocked my premium account after I said my video was flagged with copyright on Facebook and Instagram. My money was wasted! They will only unlock it if I upgrade to a higher plan. This makes me sad as a very small business owner. I pay. they block, I was flagged copyright. what a mess musicbed.

Shady business - stay away
They trick you into paying for a month, but it turns out they lock you into paying monthly for the whole year. There is nothing you can do as a consumer - shady business!
On top of that, you can't cancel until 1 month before the renewal..they are making sure people keep paying even if they don't use the product. I paid > $300 for a couple of tracks I used for 1 video.
Response from MusicbedOct 3, 2023
Hey Roman, sorry to hear that you felt like our pricing was shady. We heard feedback about the confusion that our Subscriptions were annual agreements, so we adjusted our checkout flows and added more user friction asking users to select between paying in full or paying in installments. Would love for you to walk through the new flow and give any feedback! We want to be as transparent as possible here.
The main goal of setting a renewal window was to help users avoid situations where they shut it off at the beginning, forget they did that, and one day log on to finish a Project only to find that their Subscription auto-canceled because the auto-renewal had been shut off 11 months prior. We were seeing this pattern and wanted to help users avoid it, but in situations like yours, it's definitely not helping. Our team is re-evaluation this implementation now. Thanks for the feedback!

Dishonest and deceitful company
Other unfortunate patrons of Music Bed have listed off the most glaring and apparently common issues with this surprisingly deceptive and dishonest company (the copyright claims, the pricing, etc) but the issue that I haven't seen written out yet is the cancellation process. Simply put, you can't just go in and cancel renewal. Instead, there is a one month window out of the year where you are allowed to cancel. If you miss that window then you are forced to pay the monthly fee again that you originally agreed to for the next year. So let's say you forget to cancel because it's been close to a year since you subscribed: tough luck. You have to pay it again. If you remember to cancel in the middle of the year you can't go in and simply cancel renewal. You have to wait for the "renewal period". This is what happened to me last year and I've been paying $15 a month for a service that I don't use for a number of reasons (poor music, copyright issues, etc.) but have had no choice to pay for it anyway.
Avoid music bed like the plague. There are plenty of other services to choose from.

Hey MJ, so sorry about this poor experience.
I'm sorry that you were having copyright claims. That's never fun. We do everything we can to help our subscribers steer clear of claims, but we obviously didn't do a great job for you. We are constantly working on our claims system integration with YouTube, so I'd love for you to give us another shot.
I'd love to get a discount setup for you to use if you'd be willing to give us another try. If you can get me the email address you use on our site, I can get that discount applied.

Hello S.
This so-called "music licensing…
This so-called "music licensing platform" is nothing but a scam, designed to take advantage of unsuspecting artists and siphon money from their pockets.
First of all, the site itself is a cluttered mess. It's hard to navigate and the search function is completely useless. I spent hours trying to find the right category for my music, only to be met with a never-ending list of irrelevant results. And when I finally managed to upload my tracks, I was met with a ridiculous "screening process" that seemed designed to reject as many submissions as possible.
But even if you do manage to get your music accepted onto the site, don't expect to see any real revenue. MusicBed takes an exorbitant cut of any licensing fees, leaving you with pennies on the dollar. And good luck trying to get paid on time. I've heard countless horror stories from fellow musicians who have been waiting months, if not years, to receive their earnings from MusicBed.
In short, MusicBed is a complete waste of time and money. Don't bother with this terrible platform. There are much better options out there for licensing your music. Save yourself the headache and go with a reputable company instead

Misleading advertising language, unethical business
Misleading and tricky messaging makes you think you pay $99.99 a year. Reality is that you pay $1,198.80 a year. I called right away on the second billing to cancel, no way out! I had to pay the whole year for it. NEVER use them. Shady, deceiving, no empathy what so ever. Should be sued for false advertising and unethical business practice.
Response from MusicbedOct 3, 2023
Hey Frederic, so sorry to hear about this.
We heard this feedback from other users as well. Since then we have adjusted our signup flow to make it extremely clear that the $99/mo is 12 installments on our annual plan.
This doesn't help you now, unfortunately, but your feedback was received!
I'd love to get you a discount code if you are willing to give Musicbed another try!
