Debit Card was compromised. Closed it and requested a new one back on 10/09. Still haven't received it. Customer Service told me it was indeed issued on 10/9, then said it take "7 to 10 business days to reach me. He proceeded to COUNT the number of Business Days out to me, like I'm stupid. Finally, he says 'It should arrive by Monday, 10/26. How are they sending it, by Pony Express? 16 Days without access to my money is ridiculous.

If you get behind on any payments they remove your ability to pay online. They will than send out inspectors to check the house and charge you money for it every time. They will change your payment date from the previous mortgage company to what ever they want. Atleast the payment lady was nice. But from their policies you can clearly tell this is a company you never want your mortgage to fall into.

This is a crappy bank they have a policy where they close your account if it is overdrawn for 99 days? I understand that but I told them I have money coming in from a Zelle account and that would have payed the $100 overdraft and there isn’t a standalone Zelle app anymore. I never chose this Bank. I was happily with People’s United Bank and they merged in and made my life a living hell. When they first merged, my direct deposit was over $1000 so when I spent it I saw it back in my account. I said this must be a mistake so I called them and they told me that was the current amount in my account and it was correct. I told them it must be a mistake so I waited a week and the money was still there as soon as I spent it the over-drafted my account the $1000. I couldn’t believe it they set me up! Then I got $30,000 grand in my account and made them look stupid. I went into the branch to wire $14,000 and they were so shocked they told me they couldn’t do it for two weeks untill the money cleared! I had them talk to the people where the money came from and they got all the proof and still was talking about some company policy. So you see they are thieves don’t trust this bank they want you to be broke. You guys are lucky I am a Christian. Have a nice day.

I use the branch in White River Junction VT. The folks there are always friendly, professional and helpful. Especially John R. I have no complaints about this branch. However, their telephone customer service is abysmal. IF you can actually talk to someone, they can rarely help you and refer you to the branch. The customer service at any branch I have been to has always been top notch. If possible, always use the nearest branch and NOT the 800 customer service line.

Never have I experienced a more unprofessional, unresponsive, dismissive and dishonest company. I have been attempting to get an answer for a week about a huge escrow shortage and so far the only answer I have received is an explanation of how escrow works. If I could I move my mortgage to another company, I would in a second. These people are WORSE than Nat. Grid.

We have been with MT for years. Never had any issues or complaints. Recently we have had an insurance claim to fix some issues with our house. We had to get the check endorsed by MT. They received the check on 9/28. You have to submit paperwork for them to process. I submitted the paperwork in a timely manner and evidently it wasn’t the correct paperwork. No one from MT reached out. I have had to call them every day. Very rarely do you talk to anyone willing to help you. It is now 10/13 and they still haven’t released the check. We are two weeks behind on even getting our project started and they do not care that we are displaced from our home. I would absolutely never recommend MT bank to anyone

I will be switching banks. They allowed a random person to cash my check that was written out to a government agency. When I went in to fill out paperwork to get reimbursed I asked if I needed to change my checking account and they said no. A couple weeks later they called me telling me to come in to change my checking accounts. I don’t have time to do this and to make matters worse I had a bunch of auto payments fail because they put a stop on my account. Now I have to change all my auto payments, I will be changing banks because of this mishap. Should have just done the right thing to begin with.

I had the best experience at the M&T Bank branch in Old Town Alexandria. I had scheduled an appointment through the bank's customer service number. When I arrived, unfortunately the person with whom I was scheduled to meet was on vacation. Instead of asking me to reschedule, rock star relationship manager Yessi Diaz said she would be happy to meet with me. A couple of fees had been charged to my account. Yessi reversed all of them and gave me some tips on how to better utilize my business banking account. She was a total pro. If you're in or near Old Town and have banking needs of any kind, visit Yessi and her amazing team. They will WOW you!
