I wish I'd seen these reviews before I…
I wish I'd seen these reviews before I called. Our stove and oven weren’t igniting. I contacted "Mr. Appliance” who bill themselves as “a neighborly company," and who, for a mere $118, sent a guy over to diagnose: None of the igniters are sparking. No power to unit. Found out power cord has shorted out. The issue could be the spark module as well. Then, further down on the work estimate for $276 was this: The issue could very well just be the power cord, but just to make sure, the spark module should be ordered as well. Both parts are NLA. Customer will have to buy from eBay himself. I called and it turns out NLA means no longer available, which I’m sure everyone knows but was news to me. What amazes me is that they're telling me I have to find the parts, as though I would have the slightest idea what to look for. Is this normal procedure these days? Isn’t it the business of repair people to find the parts they need to repair stuff with? I found another company who said they would do the work AND find the parts for about the same price.
