Do not under any circumstances patronize this business
Completely and utterly inept. 4 failed attempts to repair my refrigerator, 3 lost days of work, $100 of wasted food. Refrigerator still is not fixed and now it makes an obnoxious noise.
Demanded a refund and was rebuffed.
The matter has now been turned over to my legal counsel.

Will not follow up with customers
A technician diagnosed problem with my oven on 4/19 (Invoice#6515497). It is now 6/2 and I can't get anyone to return calls or emails to answer my questions and/or schedule the repair. Mainly posting a negative review in hopes of getting some response!

It’s not often I leave a poor review……
It’s not often I leave a poor review… in fact I’ve only left “two negative” reviews in my entire life. I’m sharing my experience with Mr. Appliance so that the community is aware. I called them out and paid their $119 fee, which was more than the other companies I looked into. I figured since their fee is higher I’ll get better service and results. Well, so far that’s not the case. I’ve had to call them out a total of three times and I still have the same issue…yet they have been paid AND tipped. I will document if the fourth time is a charm soon. But as of right now, paying more for Mr. Appliance is not worth it. Stay tuned for part two. 😐

Fayetteville, NC location-Fantastic!!!!
Mr. Appliance (FAYETTEVILLE, NC)...absolutely WONDERFUL technicians. Randall is amazing and technician Jessie is super honest, went above and beyond to make sure our fridge (Samsung) is working, was tremendously personable, polite, friendly! Wow! We are preparing for a vacation abroad and were so worried that our newly purchased fridge would not be operable before, during and after our trip. Very reputable company, their work is guaranteed/warranted for a year. We are really impressed! 5*****stars! Will definitely hire them if we need any future repairs!
Honestly, you really should give them a call if you need repairs-this location is stellar!

Is there a way to make negative stars?
Is there a way to make negative stars?? If so, these thieves and liars deserve it. What they really deserve is prison.
I have a Miele dishwasher that stopped working. I live in the UK but this was in NY apartment, so I got in touch with them. They sent over someone to do an 'analysis'. $200. Fine.
They told me it needed $1,000 worth of repairs - new heat element, new pump. The dishwasher cost me $1200 and I have used it maybe 10 times since I bought it. I am rarely in NY. But fine.
They told me they had sent over the team and had repaired the dishwasher. When I got to NY, it still did not work. I called them. They insisted that their team had repaired it. I live in a 'white glove' building, no one gets in our out without a lot of registration and accompanying. NO ONE EVER CAME HERE.
They said they could send someone in a week to take a look.
In the meantime, I went online and searched the problem myself,
Broken door latch.
I ordered a new door latch and replaced it myself. (Thank you YouTube). Total cost of the repair? $30.
I am trying to get my money back from them. They could not care less. I am probably going to have to take them to court. I am sure it won't be the first time.
My advice - STAY FAR FAR AWAY. VERY FAR AWAY. Liars, thieves and oh yeah, totally incompetent.

The interface on our Bosch wall oven went out (the control panel for the temperature, time, etc.). Called MrAppliance, they send "Bob" over, he looks at the oven for about 3 min., then declares: "yes, your need a new interface, this one is done." Gives us an estimate of about $1200 for the replacement interface and the labor. This is about a third of the cost of a new oven, but we decided to go ahead anyway, big mistake. Then he charges us $139 for his "diagnostic fee" when we told him over the phone the interface had gone out. They called this "a high end diagnostic fee." Cute. What the hell does "high end" mean? At any rate, Bob tells us "well, the part is on backorder, we have no idea when it will arrive, but we'll call you." So, a month or so goes by, nothing from MrAppliance. We call, "oh, sorry, part is still not in yet." Wait another 2 weeks: "well, it looks like it'll be 2026 when the part arrives." Unreal. We then cancel the order, they refund part of the $550.00 that Bob demanded as a downpayment, but they keep the $139 "high diagnostic fee." We ended up buying a new GE Cafe double wall oven from Home Depot which we should have done before calling these jokers. What a scam. Avoid these clowns at all costs. They should rename their company "MrRipoff." Will never get our business again.

Super Unprofessional Manager. Terrible Customer Service. Stay Away.
It is interesting that there are so many complaints about Mr. Appliance, however, when they respond to the complaints it always seems to be the customer’s fault. So here’s one more complaint…
I made an appointment with Mr. Appliance to come look at a dishwasher at 8:00am. I asked if this was one of those companies that said they’ll show up sometime between 1 and 5 because we had already waited 5 hours for someone else the day before. The secretary (Sarah) she would put us down as the first appointment. and they would come at 8:00am. She also said I would receive an email that says it will be between 2 times, but that I could ignore that because I would be the first appointment at 8:00am.
They showed up at 10:18am (after I called them at 9:45 to see where they were). At 10:39am, the technician called, but I was unable to answer the phone. I’m a teacher and when you’re in the middle of a science experiment, you can’t really answer the phone. I called back at 10:56am to see what the technician had found. He said he always tries to “be a pal” so he helped me out. He noticed the drain hose wasn’t in an upright position and since I didn’t answer the phone, he just went ahead and fixed it. Then tried to charge me $190 for the service. When I called back at 10:56am, he was already gone so it took him less than 17 minutes to fix the issue.
When I explained that I would pay the $120 diagnostic fee, but not the $190 because I did not ask for that to be fixed, he seemed very frustrated. He tried to get me to give him my credit card number over the phone before a receipt was sent to me. I told him I didn’t want to pay over the phone. He then threatened me by saying, “well I fell in your garage because it was dark and very unsafe”. He said he was exiting through the garage, but I’m not sure why he was in the garage without the garage door open (if he was trying to leave) because at 10:30am it would have been very light in the garage. Regardless, if someone doesn’t want to pay over the phone, you don’t threaten to sue them. He told me that his company would be calling me to get the payment then hung up on me.
After this experience, I waited a few hours for the call, but no call came. I then called several and left two messages. I was not going to pay until I talked to someone. The next day, I received a “PAST DUE” notice for the repair. I called again at lunchtime and Sarah answered the phone. I expressed my concern about the technician. She said her manager, Clint, wasn’t in, but she would have him call me back at 2:45pm. He called back at 4:00pm.
Clint was the most unprofessional “manager” I have ever talked to.
Here are some quotes from Clint, “the manager”:
“I believe Sarah and Alan a hell of a lot more than I believe you...Sarah would never make those promises. She knows if she says that then I'll fire her” - He kept threatening to listen to the recordings of the conversations I had with Sarah. I told him that I would love it if he would listen to the recordings, but he never did.
Clint: “We did you a favor. Just pay for it! What’s your credit card number?”
Me: “I’m not going to give you my credit card number over the phone because you are literally yelling at me.”
Clint: “Yelling? You want to hear yelling?” Well, you can do it your way. You have 14 days to pay or we’ll charge you at $50 fee. Then if you don’t pay within 21 days, we’ll take legal action against you.” - For the record, I wasn’t trying to get out of paying, I was trying to file a complaint and ask why they did the work without my permission.
“And you teach our children heaven help us” - As a manager, criticizing someone’s character is completely out of line.
When I was making the appointment on Tuesday, I told Sarah that I knew my dad had the day off on Thursday, so Thursday at 8:00am would be the best time because I knew somebody could be there. This is a rental property, so later that day, I heard back from the tenants that they would be home on Thursday. I didn’t feel it was necessary to send my dad over to a house with 4 girls, since 2 of them would be home to let the technician in. Clint asked me if my dad was at the residence on Thursday. I said no. He then said, “Well I think you need to take some responsibility yourself! You lied to us. You said your dad was going to be there and he wasn’t. You lied to us. He was the point of contact and he wasn’t even there.” -I’m not sure who wrote my dad down as the point of contact, but they didn’t even know his name so it must not have been a very official “point of contact”. When I made the appointment, I told them that I was not going to be there, but that I was paying for it, so they said they would call me when they were done. They just needed someone to open the door to let the technician in. There was never any promise of my dad being there or any reason that he would need to be there.
Find a different appliance guy. Defintely not worth the time, hassle, or money!!

Stay away!!! Not worth the hassle or time…
I ended up having three (3) separate appointments with Mr. Appliance to fix my gas oven and wasted my money -- misdiagnosed and NEVER fixed... VERY rude and unprofessional manager, but the technicians were friendly.
* 1st Appointment:
Outcome: Oven worked when he turned it on. He turned it off, then left. I went to use the oven a couple of hours later and it didn't work.
* 2nd Appointment
Outcome: Oven worked when he turned it on. He turned it off, then left. I went to use the oven a couple of hours later and it didn't work. I called to have them come fix what they did NOT fix the 1st AND 2nd time. They (Mr. Appliance) said that they would send out a "lead technician" for the 3rd visit.
* 3rd Appointment
Outcome: After the technician told me that the "igniter working but the switch assembly has a short not allowing the bake operation to work on demand." And "that the 1st technician should have caught the problem and that the 2nd technician should have ABSOLUTELY caught it." The 3rd technician (lead) also advised that I should "cut my losses and buy a new oven."
Mr. Appliance quoted me $100 for a diagnosis on the 1st appointment. I paid in good faith for work that should have been done correctly the first, second, and especially the third time. It was not. When I called Mr. Appliance, I was willing to pay for the igniter (part only which is $13 - 26) and the quoted diagnostic of $100, but the manager was unwilling to even listen to my reasoning and unbelievably rude and unprofessional. The technicians were very nice, but unfortunately it took three of them to figure out the problem.
Save yourself the money and hassle and find a more reliable business. There are PLENTY of them out there!!!
