Mpix is fantastic, and I can't say enough good things about the customer service. Sometimes I'll get replies within MINUTES. They're always super helpful, no matter what challenge I'm facing. Their products are also excellent!

They screwed up expedited art prints
Ordered expedited prints of one of my paintings for a market I had a few days later. When I received my prints, they were heavily filtered and I was really disappointed in how they came out and felt I couldn't use them. I requested reprints without the editing and a refund for the expedited shipping since I wouldn't have the prints for the market I expedited them for. Customer service refused to refund me for shipping, but said they'd have the prints remade. I received the prints, and they are the exact same with a dark red filter on them. I'm deeply disappointed that they are so unwilling to help small artists. Every penny helps when you're a struggling artist, and I feel very robbed after this experience. Will not be using them again.

Hi Kalli. First off, I want to apologize that the color was off on your prints, making them unsuitable for your market. We hate hearing this. I'm not sure why the issue persisted with the reprint, but I'd like to have one of our Customer Service leads reach out to see if there is anything else that can be done. I hope you'll give us another chance to earn your business. I'll be sending a request for more information so that we can locate your order information. Thank you.

Three+ years and no problems.
I have been using Mpix for at least 3 years. I have never had such incredible quality printing. I make photo cards and use the metalic finishing. It is incredible and I love each and every card I sell, give or use. I also use them for 11x17 prints for framing. The quality is the best. Ordering is easy and gives many options. Delivery is quick and the packaging is fantastic. All prints no matter what size are delivered with not shipping effects.

Hi Gail. Thanks for being such a loyal customer and for this wonderful review! Your custom photo cards on metallic paper sound very cool!

Ordered a framed print
Ordered a framed print. The clear acrylic was damaged. The print was washed out/color off. The frame corners were loose enough you could see daylight. The “professional archival mounting” I found when I took it apart was just scotch tape. They also printed their copyright on my image. Reached out to customer service and they want me to send MY image back for a refund. Horrible overall would not recommend.

Hi John. I'm really sorry. This doesn't come close to the standard we hold ourselves to, and I completely understand your frustration.
I want to make sure we get this resolved for you - whether it's a reprint or full refund. As such, I'm going to send a separate request for additional information from you like email and order number. I will then be sure our Customer Service lead reaches out to you to try and make this right.
Thank you for laying out exactly what went wrong - it's genuinely useful, and I'm sorry your first impression of us was this far off the mark.

Good quality
Update: I heard from mpix that I can leave a review and they send me an email two weeks after receiving my order. Appreciate the response although I prefer to review right away, not wait two weeks.
I like the print quality at mpix and will I use them in the future. I’ve ordered two photos books (wedding album and travel photo book) as well as two huge canvas wildlife prints and two metal prints of wildlife. All are fabulous. I can’t attach photos here so maybe if I get that email to review I’ll add photos.

Hi Kelly. Thanks for taking the time to write this review. We certainly aren't intentionally blocking you from writing a review! We want all the feedback we can get!
You are correct that you can't go to the website and write a review. We don't allow anyone to do that. We do, however, send all customers a request to submit a review (which then shows on the website) about two weeks after a purchase (to allow for shipping time). The email is sent to the same email you use to log in to your Mpix account. I'm sorry if you didn't receive one! If you'd still like to leave us a review for the site, please share your email and/or order number. I will send a private request for this info. We will be sure a review request is sent to you. Thanks again for your feedback and your business!

The photos usually come back okay
The photos usually come back okay. But I've had issues with them overexposed several times before. I've also ordered 100+ photos at a time and when I go through them, a lot of photos from my order are missing. Customer service isn't very helpful and their responses aren't very good either. I had a credit to use but couldn't use it with a promo code - you're only allowed to use one at a time. Because of their poor customer service and pricey photos, I'm not willing to give them my business. Their shipping is slow too.

Hi Heather. I'm sorry we didn't hit the mark with your photo prints. This is certainly not something we like to hear. If you're willing, I'd like to put you in touch with one of our Customer Service leads to talk through issues with your most recent orders. To do so, please edit your review to include your order number or send an email to '[email protected]' with 'Trustpilot Review' as the subject line. I will make sure one of our leads reaches out to you very soon. We'd love one more opportunity to make it right.

Superior Customer Care
I needed a lot of help creating a poster as a special gift, and I’m so happy I chose MPIX. Barry and Carrissa were very responsive with my questions and seemed to take personal interest in getting things just right. I was lucky to find that level of care on such a small project. Thanks to all.

Hi Bruce. Thanks for sharing this feedback! We want every order, big or small, to be just right! Thanks for choosing Mpix!

Zooming and cropping, even with auto feature off. Color is way off.
Ordered hundredsss of 4x6 prints for the very first time (with another order of hundredsss on the way). I did not choose the 'recommended' auto feature because I wanted nothing zoomed in on or cropped, and that is what I expected. Customer service rep told me my pictures would've been better suited for 5x7s, if I didn't want any zooming or cropping, and that had I chosen the auto feature, that would've made things worse. It seems the auto-zooming/cropping occurs on 4x6s whether you choose the auto feature or not, like it or not. I was told I should've manually adjusted each picture, but apparently, even that wouldn't have prevented zooming and cropping, only 5 x 7s. Bottom line, I was under the impression that my prints would look identical to my original photos by bypassing the auto feature.
Also, I'm noticing my deceased cat's cool grey fur looks warm-ish in a lot of pictures. Green, like really green grass looks yellowish-green, Windex-blue September skies look a muted greenish-blue or some color I can't describe (tornado green?), a cloudy November day at dusk looks warm-ish, and snow is cream-colored, not that pure cool-ish white. I searched all over for a picture of my cat that was taken with only the blue hue of the TV screen at night and couldn't find it. I was searching for blue. I finally found it. It looks milky, no blue. I wanted that blue, too, because he used to wait for me to come night night. Did they run out of blue ink? Was there some box I needed to check to keep colors identical to those taken? Some pictures seem a little blurry, too.
You really should let your customers know that photos taken on a phone are totally different from photos taken on a digital camera of yesteryear when nothing needed to be adjusted, just ordered. Make it easier for dumb people like me so that we realize there will be zooming and cropping when pictures were taken on a phone, though I've no idea if there's any way around this other than sizing up.
I ordered from mpix after watching a YouTube video comparing several labs, mpix said to be most true-to-color. That is not the case.
Customer service offered me 50% off full-price reprints, when I'd bought them on sale. I pay shipping. A prepaid return label for those I wanted to return. I spent a lot of money on these pictures, even on sale, and I'm not happy at all. I've never had color issues before, even when I've ordered through CVS.
Too much back and forth with customer service, too. I'm not a professional photographer, am a new customer, and assumed my pictures wouldn't be zoomed in on and cropped to fit a 4 x 6. If I had known that, I'd have ordered fewer pictures and 5 x 7s of a few favorites instead. Even adding items to the cart. I didn't realize I, basically, needed to add them twice and wondered why I kept losing uploads.
My daughter was happy with them, but she ordered mostly larger prints and knew what she was doing. I did not. Worried about my second order now.

Hi CEA. Thank you for detailed feedback. I'm truly sorry your first order didn't reflect the quality we aim for — especially on photos of your cat.
I understand our Customer Service Lead reached out to you yesterday to try and sort through the issues with your prints and make things right. Our goal is for our customers to love their prints - especially those of the people and pets you cherish the most. I'm sorry for the extra back-and-forth, and I hope we can leave you with a better impression than this first order did.
