Float? Not like a butterfly, but sure Stung by the Moonpod Bee!
The product is a completely misrepresented, falsely advertised, over-priced, bag of cheap styrofoam pellets. It is not round in shape, instead it is a hard, uncomfortable “cylindrical” shaped, Pod. It is not as pictured in the advertisements and the Pod itself? $300, then the arms( also rock hard, too short, poorly designed!) another $150, then the “ottoman “ which should be the only “hard” or “solid” item? It’s a floppy pillow is all, and will cost you another $150. That is $600, and is NOT worth the price of the ottoman! “Float” they tell you? I have spine issues, “float” means to me “ no pressure points” instead you will find yourself on the rock hard floor. -at points, and when you try to adjust, you will roll or slide off the side of the cylinder ( not a “pod” at all) and just imagine, I am 5’2 and weigh 130 lbs, and this happens to me, imagine a larger person thinking they are going to “float”? Are you kidding me. Then, it’s so low to the floor & its shape, you will be crawling off your floor to get up, and woe to you if you fall asleep? Again, you will slide off onto the floor. The “crescent” it’s like leaning on concrete, and can’t even be, punched into shape. I have requested a full refund from these lying Bozos, I guess we will find out what kind of reputable company they are, or not. I have e-mailed them , just now, making this request, and since it is less than 30 days, I do, indeed, expect a full refund. We’ll see, stay tuned for the next chapter, folks! I just want to put it out there, this is NOT a product for older people or people in chronic pain. It is a falsely advertised, over-priced ruse. Better than “ old bean bag chairs”? Absofuckinlootlynot! To some it up in a word, that’s my word choice and my ultimate warning to others. I paid over $500 even with the promo price, to set on my floor, essentially. I could do that for free! ( Postscript:1/7/2022- At first, on returning the Pod & Crescent for a refund, even though it was within the 14 days that they allow, they gave me issue: They first requested that they be returned in original boxes, in original plastic bags, and that I was to photograph these items prior to boxing for their viewing to “ verify” that they were in new condition. ( I did this for my record, just in case! ) Then they stated that, the Pod would be subject to a “restocking” fee of $40 with a charge of $20 for the “cover” and $20 “restocking” on the crescent with a $10 charge for the cover, and shipping costs ( cheapest from my address was $76!) And that was only IF my return was accepted as “new” condition. Now, to this I replied, oh, hell, NO! I flat out told them no “respectable” company that backs a product would charge a person $166 back to the customer for a return in 14 days! I asked what “restocking” you open the bag & dump stuffing into a new bag? I also requested, in no uncertain terms, that return shipping should not be my responsibility either. After a little back & forth, they sent a barcode for FedEx return. I shipped the Pod & Crescent back in the original Pod box at least, because 2 boxes were unnecessary, this caused some confusion on their end, but has now been resolved. ( Thankfully! ) I did receive a full refund but am waiting right now to make sure it hits my bank ( this takes 7-10 business days, which seems a bit long to me, but as long as it gets there, I can live with that!) The one good thing? They do respond to e-mails in a very timely way. The only reason I feel that they allowed this full refund was because of the complaints I have voiced. Please, let the buyer beware, this product is not what you see on TV, I purchased it with the gray covering, my husband called it ugly and said it looked like a giant Good-n-Plenty candy. That is actually, a very accurate visual folks! Thanks for reading, and I do have those photos of the Pod, without its cover, which will show anyone ready to purchase what is going to be their surprise ( and disappointment?) when the box is open and they actually realize what they have purchased for $300. Caveat Emptor, folks! Don’t buy the hype here, even I fell for it and I generally am the LEAST gullible person on the planet! When asked if this was simply “ buyers remorse”? My answer? Sure, it ain’t buyer “ happiness!” It seems there’s no middle of the road here, folks, it is either “love it” or “hate it” can you guess by now, where my compass points?:(

Hi Melissa, and we thank you for the feedback that you provided in accordance with how the products were introduced to you, and we're sorry to know if the items were not what you envisioned.
The firmness of the Moon Pod products will definitely loosen up over time, and the fact that they are hard now will increase the longevity of the product. This was a conscious decision by the product team to ensure the product lasted as long as possible.
We're sorry again for any inconvenience here, and we thank you for your input.
Thank you as well for considering the Moon Pod, and for anything, feel free to reach out to us anytime and stay safe!

Shady Company with Terrible Cust Service
Customer service is HORRIBLE. I placed an order on 14 Dec as the website was giving a discount and indicating that orders would arrive before XMas. That only left me with 10 days, but I figured even if it took them 3 to get it shipped, I'd be fine. 8 days pass and literally nothing has happened at all with my order, so I begin to inquire. First, they have NO customer service number. Your only options are email and chat. I sent in an email and got back a form response that pretty much said, "No idea!"
After getting that I figured I would try the chat option. It took over 25 minutes to get anyone to respond. I indicated that if we couldn't guarantee that I would receive it by XMas (understand that from my POV it has not even been processed at all yet), that I would need to cancel so I can go find my daughter something else. She takes a few minutes and comes back to tell me that it has miraculously processed and shipped just then! SHE GENERATED A SHIPPING LABEL RIGHT THEN TO KEEP ME FROM CANCELING!!!
Now they are telling me that I can't cancel the order and I need to reject the FedEx delivery (now, understand that it has not actually shipped anywhere... they have just generated a shipping label as an excuse to keep me from canceling my order). Problem is that if we are not standing by the door when FedEx arrives, we will not be able to do that and then will be on the hook to ship it back, and they will have some crap where I can't get a refund until they receive it back... whatever... She also gave me a customer service number that nobody answers at some robo call center.
Just a completely scummy way to deal with someone you want to be a customer. The reality is that I would have ended up ordering one later for the next holiday or whatever, but now there is no chance in hell I would give this shady company another nickel.
Don't ever order anything from a company that doesn't have an easy-to-find customer service phone number. I guess I should have known better... You can tell just at a glance that all these glowing reviews are completely fake and part of the scam. Don't order from these people.

Hello and thank you for your input.
We also apologize that we were unable to cancel your order right away when you requested it -- once an order has been placed, we are unable to control the shipment right away once it has been handled by our processing team, and our team is working hard to process and ship all orders as quickly as they could.
Once again, we're really sorry for any inconvenience here, and we appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your feedback.
Thank you once again for your feedback, and stay safe!

These Moon Pods Are a Scam!
These Moon Pods are such a scam. Don't spend your money on this and go with a Love Sac or something else. They're SUPER tiny and the customer service is terrible. 1/5 stars.

Just another beanbag chair
I found the Moopod to be no different than a cheap beanbag chair you'd buy at Walmart. It's the same styrofoam balls and not "beads". You can even tell before you put the cover on that they are styrofoam balls since the moonpod is white and almost see-through. It's not worth $300. It was very difficult to return and took 4 emails over 4 days but it went back.

Try it yourself,Don't believe TV or Internet
First, never by any products where the company does not have a phone number and is done through email.Ron was no help at all constantly saying it was refunded. Second. If you're a adult male under 165 pounds, female or a child a single moon pod would be fine. Any heavier your arms fall off to the side so you either need to go to a super moon pod or A crescent so your arms won't fall to the sides. Third. You need to think of your age as this comes into play when you are trying to get up from the moon blob. You'll notice how dirty your floor really is. I'm now in the process of constructing a booster chair which will allow me to easily get up from this $400 mistake. If I didn't these would be packing peanuts. Lastly, if there is a dispute and you're tired of the back-and-forth emails call your credit card company And dispute the charge. 6 Days I received a letter in my Post office mailbox refunded me every dime without the absorbent restocking fee. Do yourself a favor and either by a couch and loveseat or a Normal beanbag chair.

Moonpod is a piece of junk
Moonpod is a piece of junk - DO NOT BUY. They company sends email after email after email before issuing a return. Here is the latest email:
Thank you for contacting us, and we're sorry to hear that you're dissatisfied with your order and that it's not what you expected. We're happy to help you with the return process, but I have a few questions for you first:
1. Please describe your return/exchange request, and reasoning again as to why you are requesting this return or exchange.

Items must be returned in their original, unworn condition along with any original packaging and tags. All items will be thoroughly inspected upon return.
We will contact you shortly to update you on the status of your return request. Please remember to read our Return Policy, which is available on our website.

PLEASE READ Before You Buy a Moonpod
I heard about the Moonpod from a "wealthy" family friend who purchased one for their media room. I believe that comfortable furniture is worth investing in, so I took advantage of Moonpod's Black Friday event and bought one. I also purchased a "Lunar Lift" at the discounted cost of $129.
The Moonpod could be one of the most brilliant marketing schemes I have ever seen. Based on their website, you would think you were buying a state-of-the-art therapeutic device. Unfortunately, the reality is that a Moonpod is nothing more than a bag filled with foam beads. These are not magic beads. They say they are "custom density EPS," a fancy way of describing foam beads.
Moonpod covers are made of a velvet-like bedsheet that has a slight stretch to it. But, like the filling, the shell is not a magical fabric.
After stuffing the bag of foam into the bedsheet with a zipper, for the Moonpod and the "Lunar Lift" (a small Moonpod that you can put your feet on for $179), I looked at my investment and slapped myself. I bought $500 worth of foam and bedsheets for $400.
The best way to describe sitting on a Moonpod is like sitting on a bean bag. When you put your feet up on the "Lunar Lift," it feels like you are putting your feet on another bean bag. I would love to see someone make a YouTube video of a blind sitting test to see if someone can tell the difference between a Moonpod and a $5 bean bag purchased at a yard sale. I could not justify keeping this obscenely overpriced piece of junk that looks and feels like a loud fart will rip it.
I was shocked to find that returning this junk was part of the scam. To return a Moonpod, you must REQUEST a return on their website. Then, approximately 24 hours after you REQUEST a return, someone emails you and asks to explain the reason for your return, take MULTIPLE photos of the Moonpod (six total), and explain exactly how many times it was sat on. The scam is brilliant, and I cannot knock them for that. Most people would look at that email and be like "Screw it! I'll keep the thing."
After sending an abundance of photos, I was informed that I could return the beanbags, but I would be fined a $50 "return fee," a $20 fee for using the Moonpod cover, a $10 fee for using the Lunar Lift cover, and $10 for shipping (I sat on it for a total of five minutes).
The Moonpod must be returned in the exact same packaging it is sent in. The cheap/flimsy plastic bag the Moonpod comes in has a barcode on it. The Moonpod and its cover must be returned in the same plastic bag that it is mailed in or you will be charged an additional fee. I would not have been surprised if Moonpod required the box to be sealed with the original tape it came in. To add insult to injury, you need to bring this enormous Moonpod box to FedEx yourself.
After the "Customer Support" person explained to me that it would cost me about $100 to return a Moonpod that I had owned for 48 hours, they asked, "Would you still like to proceed with the return?" Gladly.
In summary, the Moonpod is not a sophisticated therapeutic device. It is an average, cheap bean bag that costs $2-4 to manufacture. A five-star review of the Moonpod can only be described as a way to justify spending a ridiculous amount of money on a creatively marketed product. If you want a beanbag, buy a cheap one off of Amazon. You can buy a Recliner off of Overstock for less money than a Moonpod. SAVE YOUR MONEY and do not contribute to this complete and utter scam. If this review prevents one person from buying one of these beanbags, my $100 will have been well-spent.
