I purchased a subwoofer, front center speaker, and two surround speakers. Two of the four speakers failed at 2.5 years. That's no coincidence. It suggests defective products. Now I'm out a half a grand cash for buying from a poor quality company. Don't repeat my mistake. Buy another brand.

I purchased a special HDMI cable for an upcoming new TV installation. I paid extra for expedited shipping and since their website said it was in stock I figured I would receive it in 2-3 business days, as indicated by the shipping method I chose. Two weeks later, it had still not arrived and so I bought a different cable locally at a higher cost. The original cable eventually did arrive, after nearly 3 weeks. I no longer needed it and I requested a return RMA. No response. I requested an RMA 2 more times over the next 10 days. Still no response. I then disputed the charge with my credit card company. Shortly after that, Monoprice emailed me an RMA and I returned the unopened package. Monoprice never did give me credit for the return but my cc company ruled in my favor and I was credited with the full amount I originally paid. I have bought things from Monoprice over the years but never again. Had it not been for my cc company intervention I'm sure I would still be dealing with this headache.

Buyers beware if you choose to return a product that remains in its original shipping box and unopened. You...let me repeat that...you will be responsible for the cost to send the package(s) back to Monoprice. I bought a desk and stand for a little under $500. The cost to return the two parcels is more than the cost of the product. The Monoprice agent says that this policy is contained within the Monoprice Return Policy. I've read that document line-by-line more than three times. If it's there then it is a verbal abstraction. No, I will never ever do business with this company again. Not ever. And again be forewarned. Evaluate the shipping cost vs. the product cost. You may end up like me stuck with a product I don't want but have to keep because the cost to return the item via UPS ground is more than the product itself.

Over and over again, my Monoprice cables fail after just a few months. They claim to have a lifetime warranty, but they don't honor it. They just ignore customer emails so you can never get anything replaced. So far I had 3 iPhone Lightning charging cables fail in under 6 months and they replaced none of them. Most recently I had an HDMI cable fail after just 4 months and they blew me off there too. Monoprice are FRAUDSTERS. I won't buy any of their products ever again.

So i have always heard of Monoprice and figured I would take a chance and give them a try. I bought one of their Monolith by Monoprice THX-365C, I was blown away by it, I decided to get 2 more to replace my L and R channel speakers. I placed my order on the 28th. On the 29th I was sent a letter saying my package was "Your package is On its Way. Your package is being packed and will be shipped soon." It is now 12/5 it is still set as that, now monoprice uses Fedex tracking and after a bit of guess work i was able to poke around Fedex's site and see the tracking for 10 other orders besides mine all being shipped from that warehouse. All orders are in the exact same spot as mine. ALL of them are reporting that they are sitting there on its way it will be packed and shipped soon. So over the few days I have called customer support and given the same line, "oh its shipped FedEx has it" over and over yet according to Monoprice's site monoprice still has it, as per FedEx monoprice still has it. This whole situation feels VERY VERY shady overall. The fact my order, and a bunch of other people's orders, and the customer support INSISTING there are no higher calls regarding orders being frozen just doesn't add up. Now they are downright insisting on me cancelling my order, and this is why it is VERY fishy, this item is sold out... Why would they want me to cancel, unless they oversold and had no intention on sending me one. Overall the shadyness has me unsure about them, i don't trust them, and will probably never buy from them again after this, they are VERY shady and lost any and all trust I had in them.

I've bought several speaker sets, as well as mounts and cables from Monoprice over the years. Never again. My order has sat around for 2 days without shipping out even though I had to pay for shipping. If I ordered off Amazon I would've gotten my package no later than today with free shipping, yet Monoprice hasn't even shipped my order yet. I even posted on their Facebook profile and emailed them twice. They posted on Facebook after I made my comment on their profile page, but CHOSE to ignore me. The first email I sent was ignored. Monoprice has definitely gone downhill recently. It's now risky to order from them.

Since the 11th of November I have been trying time and time again to contact Monoprice. Over the course of nearly 3 weeks I have sent 6 emails regarding an issue with checkout. I live in the UK and am unable to complete checkout for the M12 v2 subwoofer because of an error in the website: "Error: The shipping method you selected is not valid for the shipping address. If the problem persists, please send an email to (monoprice's support email) to report this issue. Thank you for your patience and for shopping at Monoprice.com.". I have emailed Monoprice's support email 6 times and sent a ticket through the websites ticketing system and have heard nothing back. Worse still, in that time the Black Friday deal has come and gone and now the subwoofer will be out of my budget. This has been a very stressful few weeks since I'm obsessively passionate about audio, and suffer from anxiety. I feel extremely disheartened that I will no longer be able to afford the Subwoofer since it's objectively very good and fits my needs perfectly. To make this review a bit more constructive, I suggest Monoprice adding an automated reply to their email. One that lets the customer know that Monoprice has successfully received their email. I don't actually know if my emails have gotten through to Monoprice, which is why I sent 6. 3 with my main Email and 3 with an alt. Monoprice's Customer service has made me feel completely invisible and quite stressed over the last few weeks. I'm very disappointed.
