Monoprice products cheaply manufactured, no parts, no customer service go else where!
I bought one of there 27" isp gaming monitors, the guy who sold it to me was super pushy and said it was the best brand/ screen on the market compared to others. I was skeptical since I have never heard of the screen and should have researched it first. The screen didn't last even a year, the power supply was cheaply manufactured and actually fried out due to the capacitor not being properly soldered. I emailed monoprice and they stated they don't even carry the parts or power supply to help send me a replacement and told me to go purchase the power supply else where and best of luck... I will be posting a video on youtube with the email convos and my problem, and I will no longer buy or recommend monoprice to anyone I know.

Ordered a 16 inch drawing tablet for…
Ordered a 16 inch drawing tablet for sons Christmas. Came with a bad pen. Call Monoprice on Jan 2nd. Was promised a new pen would be shipped out and arrive in the next 14 days. Called back on Jan 22nd to find out no pen has been sent out. Also found out they never planned to ship it. Wasted 20 days waiting for parts, son still can’t enjoy his Christmas gift because Monoprice’s lies. Best Monoprice would do is a 25 dollar refund and told me to get parts from a third party vendor from Amazon. Still waiting on parts for sons Christmas gift. What a sh**y job Monoprice. I waiting for a pen from Amazon and hope it works with tablet or I got to find another one. Will never order from this company again after waiting for 20 day and no one at company tried to reach us. Company had my phone number and my email. Company didn’t contact anyone, just lied and failed to ship out replacement parts. So I’m posting on reviews sites today my experience with this company. Thanks Monoprice for F-ing up my son Christmas.
About our talk on phone Company was smart and short they did not ship out parts refund 25 dollars and had me order a part that was not compatible> More loses out of my pocket . Then offered a refund for tablet minus the 25 use to replacement parts. Just a bad experience all the way around. I will never again dell with Monoprice. Wasted 2 weeks waiting for them to ship a part > They lied and never ship out parts. Lies Lies Lies Monoprice!

Mike,
I again apologize for the experience you had with the tablet you purchased for your son. As stated in our conversation over the phone we do not currently have the pen available to ship you a replacement. I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you and your family.

Never Again....Pen display tablet
I bought my pen display tablet in November 2017. In December 2018, my Mac updated to Mojave and the tablet pen stopped working. I went to Monoprice to find some updated drivers, and they said they would look into it. I rely on this tablet daily for my job so time was of the essence. After a week and a half of me asking for an update, they finally said they were not planning on updating the tablet as it has been discontinued. I told them I needed a solution ASAP and eventually, they agreed to issue a store credit for me to purchase the updated pen display tablet. Alright, so I sent back my tablet, and they finally applied the credit. I go to purchase and they have ZERO PEN DISPLAYS AVAILABLE FOR SALE. I have now gone a month and a half without the use of my tablet. This has caused major inefficiency and inconvenience. I asked for them to return the credit to my card but it was "past the 30-day mark" and is only a store credit now. Long story short, they have my tablet, there is a bunch of money sitting on my account that I will never ever use, and someone else is getting my tablet business.

Missing part and no customer support
I ordered the "open box" HD Base-T Extender Kit but one of the two external power supplies was missing. This extender was part of a huge church AV project and I didn't realize the missing part until just after the 90 day return window. Unbelievably, they would not accept a return and did not even sell a replacement power supply. $200 out the window,.Never again.

I was invited to write this review…
I was invited to write this review since I bought two Monolith 10" THX subwoofers from Monoprice. I'm very satisfied with the product though I'm not in a position to compare the product with lots of other subwoofers available in the market in a similar range with a similar specification. And I'm certainly not an audiophile and just beginning to set up my first HTS 5.2.2. To comment on customer service my experience is negative. I created a case (Case Number: CAS-140492-C4G6J2) to get answers for some of my questions. I didn't get any response from the support team. When reached out to the customer service after 10 days from buying the product due to $50 price drop, the representative of the company clearly said price matching is only possible on the same according to the company policy. I understand company policy and representative's loyalty to the company but I could have sent those subwoofers back and bought a second pair with that reduce price and would have been within the company's policy. That way this company could have lost ~$400 in shipping them back n' forth. The representative was unable to understand that and didn't protect customer's benefit and possible future recommendations from me. Another request I made was to change the payment method by using a different credit card. The representative was unable to do that because the representative was protecting the company's policy. The representative was very knowledgeable about all of the company policy and very loyal to protect the company's well-being. The representative was very kind, polite and formal as the representative repeatedly apologized to me for their inability to help me out. I'd suggest Monorpice show some leniency in their policy at least when customers are buying heafty products. Whenever there is a discussion on any AVS forum, I'll mention this to potential buyers.
Edit (Dec 14th): My rating went down further. The manager couldn't keep up with the response to my review (see below) on Nov 30th. Today is Dec 14th and the same product is again discounted ($50 price drop) using coupon AMAZON10. Since this is not a BF/CM sale, I was expecting $100 in a refund. Unfortunately, they didn't price match even in case of regular sale.
Response from MonopriceNov 30, 2018
Debanjan,
I would like to apologize for the experience you had with our support team and the lack of response to your email. In regards to the price match policy, we do offer a price match guarantee for items that go on sale, however the guarantee does not apply to Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals/promotions.
I do apologize for any inconvenience this causes.

Customer Support Takes Ages to make the Problem Worse
I am an engineer who likes to quickly make prototypes and models via 3d printing. So I got a Maker Select Pro 3d printer from Monoprice for Christmas last year. It had a 1 year warranty, which I thought was great, and I used the printer a lot. Fast forward to June, I started having issues with the printer. The extruder cooling fan started making an awful grinding noise, and my prints stopped properly adhering to the build plate in the front, left corner. I do a little testing, and find that the entire front, left corner of my build plate is not heating properly.
So in August I contacted Monoprice customer support, or so I tried to. Don't listen to the reviews that say they have a quick customer service turn around. The live chat service on their website never worked and their "2 to 3 business days" for a help ticket quickly turned into a month. A representative FINALLY contacted me at the end of September to try and help me. He seemed willing to try and help me, so I told him about all my problems with the printer. I asked for a replacement for both the extruder cooling fan and the build plate. He told me that they will replace my fan, but will not replace my build plate and instead offered to "fix" it. I agreed and another week passed before I got the proper documents to mail the printer back to them. I mailed the printer, about 2.5 weeks or so went by, then my printer showed back up at my doorstep.
I opened the box up and read the repair order. They replaced the fan, but said that they preheated the build plate and found nothing wrong with it, but apparently to test it they have to scratch the mess out of my build plate because now there are big gashes across it. I'm aggravated by this, but whatever, I'll test it and see if it works now. So I plugged the printer in, flipped the on switch. No grinding fan noise, so far so good, then press the home button to move the extruder to its home location. The motor that controls the x-axis makes a terrible grinding noise that sounds like someone grinding the clutch in a manual car. I cut the printer off and try it again, same result. So I flip the printer over to look for the issue, and the x-drive belt is off of its pulley and wrapped around the vertical drive gear. I can't get to the pulley to reroute the belt without completely taking apart the printer, but it isn't worth trying to go through customer support again because by the time they get back to me my warranty will have expired.
Moral of the story: Don't be fooled by fake tales of good customer service. It takes a ridiculous amount of time for them to respond only to tell you that your printer is fine and to send it back to you worse that you had it before.

The items I ordered stated they would ship next day and would be received within 2-3 days. I had to call on the day it was supposed to be delivered because I did not have tracking. After calling I received an email that the items were shipping. Poor service and misleading shipping times.

Two-bit operation
I've ordered from Monoprice in the past without any trouble. Prices are very good.
The last order I placed on Tuesday was for some short Ethernet patch cables. Everything was fine until today (Thursday). Two full days after the order had been placed and charged to my credit card, I receive an email stating the item was out of stock. Seriously, it took you two days to figure that out?
How is it that an online company cannot accurately know stock levels in real time? I
I thought Monoprice was a large company that you could trust. They're nothing more than a two-bit operation.
Order from them if you like but do so with the knowledge you may get screwed.
When I contacted Monoprice (via chat) to cancel the remaining items on the order, they didn't even ask why. I think that speaks volumes.
Response from MonopriceNov 6, 2018
