These folks have GREAT constumer…
These folks have GREAT constumer service. The product itself has worked out well as our trim stain around the house with a work day looking like staining in the morning, allowing the boards to sit in a good heated room for a couple hours for the stain to set and install around the windows without any scuffing or marring. The product, Natural Oil Finish 2C Part A Oil Only (no accelerator Part B), calls for a long cure time; several weeks. The installed trim on the wall is the least amount of traffic I could provide with limited space. We are slowly trimming 200 board ft of red oak in our house.

If you're looking for a matte finish
If you're looking for a matte finish, nothing beats Rubio Monocoat. I used it to finish a bar-top made from some 80-year-old Maple slabs in my coffeehouse, and my favorite is when people ask what I'm going to finish it with. It really does look like just the wood, without all the glossy, fake looking applications of urethane. Plus, we beat this stuff up. Coffee grounds, hot water, cleaning chemicals, 365 days a year, and the Monocoat Natural Oil Finish is holding up. I even left a ice-cold glass overnight to see if it would leave a ring. Nope! the water droplets just wiped away. I would (and have) recommend this product to anyone looking for a natural finish on their bar tops, table tops, or anything else for that matter.

So far the product has been great
So far the product has been great. Easy to apply and the finished product is beautiful. I used the chocolate with the excelerator for my butcher block countertops. I would say go on and order extra excelerator when you place your order. Although you can use just the color I needed the excelerator for the faster curing time. Overall I do recommend this product.

It was pretty easy to apply
It was pretty easy to apply. The only problem I had was streaking, which might have been because I hadn’t shaken the bottle enough. I thought I had done so sufficiently but will try again with the remainder to see if that was the problem. I like the fact that it doesn’t smell like chemicals and dried fast.

The only disappointing thing about this…
The only disappointing thing about this product is the substantial skimming that happens after each opening of the can. I was told to stir it into the liquid however this still leaves chunks. I've purchased some air tight bags that I'm trying which will allow all the air to be dispersed prior to closing. Hopefully this will solve my problem. I build furniture and use only the oil without the accelerator. Since I use a small amount at a time a 1 litre can will last me a couple of months which makes the skimming problem worse.
