uneven coverage
I received and applied the samples and they did not seem to apply evenly. Darker shades and lighter shades on the same piece of wood.

The product arrived with residue that…
The product arrived with residue that obviously had been spilled outside of bottle and then cleaned up. When I opened the bottle the cap and top of the bottle was filled with residue that had dried. We ordered from this company prior to this purchase and had no issues. Would love a replacement.

One of the two samples was dried out
One of the two samples was dried out, like a jell. Tiny writing on the bottle says read instructions for use. Nothing like that included. You could also include a screw on tip that might cast you ten cents. Nothing. You charge a premium for your product but ship it like some mass merchandiser with no anticipation of how it might be used. I am totally turned off by your complete lack of customer awareness.

Rubio Monocoat
Hi, I was so excited to try this product-especially the quick dry time. We have a house in the hill country and I purchased red wood cedar live edge slabs and needed to protect the cedar yet keep it in the "natural" state related to color. I purchased the "natural" and followed the instructions - I also watched the videos. The product dried as advertised BUT it dried "cloudy" with a cloudy white color tint to it. I am not sure what went wrong but it will have to be redone. I did look at the reasons online that could contribute to the problem. I feel that none of those contributed to the end result. Not sure where to go from here but will remove the product and then come up with a different plan.

The color
The color, ice brown, is more reddish than the photo on the website. I couldn’t use it, $80 waisted.

Do your homework
Coverage was way less than stated and shipping was outrageous. I ordered two 100 ml bottles for two small benches and just barely got it. Shipping was $20 for two tiny bottles. Clarity on website about difference between natural and pure is less than clear without digging. Overall I like the product but for what you pay it needs to be marketed more clearly.

Stewartfloor sucupira (chestnut) with Rubio Monocoat finish
We have Stewartfloor sucupira flooring finished with Rubio monocoat. It is a beautiful floor but the finish does not hold up at all. It would be appropriate for a yoga studio or somewhere else that is for use in socks only but it scratches too easily for household use. Even the soft plastic floor protectors on our barstools scratch it. Repair is easy enough but the cost of the refinishing products make it impractical.

Quick shipping, but wrong items.
I got my order within a week which was awesome for free shipping. I was however rather upset by the fact that 1 of my 3 samples wasn’t even close to the color I chose. Instead of getting a black sample I was given a peacock green... I had been hoping to test out samples that next week to decide our new floor color. I absolutely hated every sample for our floor. I called and left a message about the incorrect sample color, but never heard anything back. I guess I’m stuck with the wrong color. At almost $14 each I felt kind of ripped off.
