Good layout, but the broken reply notifications are a massive headache
We switched over hoping to get away from the mess of Facebook groups, but the latest updates totally wrecked the reply system. Whenever someone gets pinged about a reply under a post, the link just leads nowhere, which completely buries active threads and makes following discussions impossible for my mods. Getting a real human from support takes days when things go wrong, and dealing with automated bot responses during live events is just exhausting. The space looks nice, but basic thread glitches like this make it really hard to keep members engaged.

Hi Joe,
Thank you for sharing this feedback.
We understand how frustrating it is when reply notifications don’t take members back to the conversation they’re trying to follow.
We’re also sorry to hear that getting the support you needed felt difficult. We’d like the opportunity to look into the notification behavior you’re experiencing. Please reach out to us at [email protected] with your Network details so our team can investigate further.
Thanks.

Mighty Networks makes many promises
Mighty Networks makes many promises, but it does not support the fulfillment of those promises. We were sold with discount motivation and pressure, an annual subscription to have a branded app of our own, and then we're given six hours of support to implement it, which was probably a tenth of what we actually needed.
The interface for the user is so complex that it's like opening File Manager on a Windows computer in 1980. There are just lines and lines of information, and navigation is very difficult, even for our students who are used to going to find content from our courses.
We were offered further support, but on calculations it worked out to over $1,250 per hour, and so we have now canceled all our membership project plans. These, of course, cost much more than the actual subscription at $16,000 for the first year with incentives, then over $20,000+ for subsequent years, but I would caution anybody from using this app and researching the competition, which is less expensive. In some cases, it allows you to have a branded app at no cost, like Simplero.
The one compliment I would make about this app is that the inspirational talks that the founder gives and the research that they've compiled as a result of metrics of their clients are really very useful. If this is something that you want to explore, I would recommend paying for one month's membership and watching all the videos you can, and then using them for your benefit should you choose to go further with them or indeed go to a different platform.
It saddens me to have to say this, as I know the impact that a Trust Pilot review can have. I have to say that I wish I checked that they had only three and a half stars as a rating before I had made a financial commitment to them. It would have saved me about $100,000 in wasted time and effort .

Good product, but causes trust issues for UK users
I was using Mighty Networks to set everything up properly before going back onto a paid plan. I had courses, downloadable assets, spaces, and the overall structure setup before launching it publicly.
I did initially pay for 1 month. but at no point did they tell me if you cancel, you loose access to everything. I want to make that clear.
Instead, once the network was on an unpaid/free plan, Mighty Networks blocked UK access under its Online Safety Act policy. Their own help page says “Free Plan Networks: UK access is blocked” and that restoring access requires upgrading to a paid plan.
That means I was locked out as the host from the network I created, including my own setup and uploaded content, before I had even gone live. I was not given a simple admin-only export route before being cut off.
This feels deceptive: the platform lets you build during the trial/setup phase, but if you are in the UK and do not immediately keep paying, you may lose practical access to the thing you built.
I wanted time to prepare the courses and assets properly before paying again and launching. Instead, I am now being pushed to pay just to access my own work.
I would not recommend Mighty Networks to UK users unless you are comfortable paying continuously simply to keep access to your own network and data.
Response from Mighty NetworksJun 9, 2026
Hello,
Thank you for sharing your experience. To comply with the UK Online Safety Act, Mighty Networks is required to provide certain moderation and safety tools for networks accessible in the UK. These tools are available on our paid plans, which is why free-plan networks are no longer accessible from the UK.
It's important to note that your content has not been deleted. Your courses, spaces, and other network content remain intact. My teammate Paris will be reaching out to you today with more information about the available options and next steps
Please keep an eye out for an email from us so we can help get you back on track.
Thank you,
Berenice

They make it impossible for a paying host member to unsubscribe
NB I payed for a year and did not want to continue due to the fact I was not utilising it and it was my money being wasted
Sadly i found that they make it near impossible to unsubscribe your paying membership this has been ongoing for months
They appear not to acknowledge your request for help re trying to cancel and not proceed with them as a paying member once your year is up
They do not help you cancel or cancel for you if you are having difficulty cancelling on their site
You can send them multiple emails via the bot, text team care, text, and nothing gets resolved re cancelling request
They give you methods to cancel that do not function which is time wasted and frustration to the max
Mighty even give you a method and when you get there it says you can not deactivate your account because of bla bla
They charge you high prices
They appear very impersonal, though they see you are not using the MEMBERSHIP ACCOUNT they still will continue to charge you extreme amounts so it is impersonal so they just appear to care about the money they generate is my impression and experience
I have not had the time to utilise the site hence i wanted to cancel, as it is a waste of my money and i did cancel online after much time consumed trying to figure that out, but they change their systems all the time leaving no record of actions taken and you cancelling it appears, and they continue to charge you, an extremely high amount of money, ignoring your plea's and persistent request for help in unsubscribing as a paying membership host
Their system does not even let you deactivate or cancel
They do not cancel it themselves even though you ask multiple times
Highly Highly disappointed with their absolute neglect and disrespect in assisting you to cancel your paying membership which is in the hundreds a year per person
Adminstration team appears non existent they do not give you a time for urgent issues re a team member contacting you especially being in different time zones, it is unprofessional, uncaring, and just completely wrong
It should be a straight forward easy process to cancel
The time consumed and distress mentally emotionally financially is unacceptable
They do not have admin people assisting you with important queries and concerns
I am angry upset frustrated and distressed by their inability to help you do a simple task and respect your wishes to cancel as a paying customer/host member
It is in my opinion an offence and very very unprofessional wrong and disrespectful
I thought i had solved the issue and successfully cancelled it months ago and it appears that they did not process that cancellation or acknowledge it
So very very upset and distressed by it all and their inabiltiy to have 24/7 tech customer service people available for those overseas
It is very very very wrong!
I want my money back that they charged me again for nearly $700 Aussie dollars, when i communicated many times to the best of my ability that i wanted to cancel my membership subscription
Not Happy Jan! Not Happy

Overly complicated, increasing cost and reducing features
Firstly, I think the support is quite good, and the staff have always done their best to help and explain the platform to me.
However, I have found it unnecessarily complicated.
It is a confusing experience for members and hosts alike, and takes far too long to become familiar with.
It is very difficult to move members from a free plan to paid and higher paid plans, which is what I have been trying to do.
They have also recently changed their plans so that some pretty basic features are now part of higher-tiered and more expensive offerings. I have found the platform frustrating, and have only stuck with it because of the difficulty in migrating members. However with the latest changes and extra fees, I will certainly move soon.
Whatever platform you choose, be sure to try it out for a few weeks before committing to it.

The platform didn’t do what I needed it…
The platform didn’t do what I needed it to do. It was more complicated than I thought it would be to host here. I also wasn’t crazy about the aesthetic experience of the platform. Great idea. UX is subpar.
Response from Mighty NetworksDec 19, 2025
Hi Jasmine,
Its Umar from the Mighty Networks team.
It sounds like we didn’t deliver to our standards on simplicity and on the aesthetic you were looking for. Thank you for sharing that. Many Hosts use our branding controls to tailor colors, typography, and page layout, and your feedback is a good reminder that setup needs to feel faster and clearer out of the box.
We publish weekly changes in our Help Center’s Latest Product Updates and have been rolling out UI improvements on web along with refreshed, bite-sized product tutorials to make building and organizing spaces easier.
If you’re open to reconnecting, email [email protected]
with my name and “Trustpilot,” and I’ll schedule a call to learn more and help you get what you need. You can also reach our team anytime through that same channel.
Best,

I had to kill my very active group on Mighty, read why
After moving my large and very active FB-group over to Mighty, I had to abort the project after two months.
Long story short: The admin and moderation features are not strong enough to handle a really active group.
A lot of the Mighty onboarding and built in AI-promts is all about engaging your community.
Well, I have around 500 members that post ALL the time.
Since Meta is Meta, I decided it would be prudent to get my crowd a room of their own, so I splurged on the big business plan and spent a lot of time onboarding them into the platform.
Read: Creating guides, holding webinars, spending day and night helping them from FB and onto the platform.
Here's the kicker:
Mighty is designed for tech savvy cool kids, not 50-year old FB-users.
And it's confusing in ways that I could not predict, since I'm a tech savvy cool kid, not my own client (usually a highly educated academic in their late 40 to early 60-ies.)
After setting up Mighty, my customer service inquieries grew with 800%. Most of these was sent to my Mighty account on Direct Message, because the boomers could not figure out when they replied to a comment in a thread or when they DM-ed someone.
And since I have this active crowd that publishes around 150-200 posts a day, it got super messy.
I tried using the features of dividing Mighty onto separate spaces + using hashtags, but that was too hard for my posting and publishing and confused in the DM-crowd.
On FB, if someone sends me a message on Messenger, I can have a customer service rep join us in the thread.
Not so much on Mighty.
So more customer service AND harder to delegate.
Also, I started getting confused.
The truth is: The interface is not designed for a hyper active group.
It has not got what FB have: An algorithm showing you the most relevant and active post. You follow people and topics, but you get a wild and random interface.
Since I was planning on adding another 100-250 active members after my fall launch, I realized that this project was based on me wanting Mighty to work, not on actual customer experience for my members.
So I aborted the Mighty - I had paid a yearly plan. I understood the terms and conditions and knew it was not refundable, but I asked them anyway.
Long story short: It was not a very elegant off boarding process from Mighty. They were semi-interested and just "sad you experience it that way", and as someone that has worked in User Research and product development for many years, I was like:
"What? If I had lost a client this way, I would be super interested! This is useful data, let's look closer at it!"
But since they were behaving in the way they were, I gather that my issue is a known issue.
I believe that Mighty Networks is an excellent sollution if you are growing out of your Slack community, and you have tech savvy members that are comfortable in Slack.
I also believe that MM might be excellent if you have a community that is huge (a lot of members), but the members are shy, not engaging much and mostly watching the live streams.
I do not believe MM can replace a really active FB-group, because the moderation and relevance tools are sub-par + the boomers will not get it.
And I love my boomers, they are paying clients and a lot of fun!
Last, but not least: While I was killing my MM community in is second month, the Mighty Network did a strong push to make me join their mastermind, because my network was so big and active and doing so well.
Guys, there was nothing in my experience with the network that could have been solved by a mastermind.
And it felt sad to see that the department selling me the mastermind, did not have access to the data that I was asking for help to abandon ship because of lacking features.
If you have an active community that's FB-based: I'm sorry, but there's really no alternative to FB when it comes to moderation and ease of use + relevancy.
And I think MM network knows that, since they were so disinterested when my - on paper - very sucsessful Network burned my team out because of the increased customer service needs.

Money Motivated over Results
We invested in one of Mighty Networks’ top-tier plans and purchased additional bonus programs, hoping to build a vibrant community. Despite our efforts, engagement was minimal—not just in our own group, but also in 4 other communities we’re part of on the platform. It seems to be a broader issue with user engagement.
When we requested a refund for the unused time, support denied it with no flexibility, which was disappointing given the investment. The platform has potential, but in our experience, it didn’t deliver the value or results we expected.

Hi Joe,
Thank you for sharing your experience. We value every Host who builds on Mighty Networks and know how important it is to see real engagement and momentum.
Since March, we've launched several updates focused on driving stronger engagement, including emoji reactions, automations to re-engage members, and Cohost, our AI chatbot offering 24/7 support with engagement strategies and onboarding tips.
We're continuing to build tools that help communities thrive. If you're open to it, I’d love to hear more about your experience and share your feedback directly with our product team. You can reach me directly at [email protected].
Thank you,
Chriselle
