Avoid Mighty Networks if You Value Your Members
I moved to Mighty Networks from Circle, initially impressed by the platform’s promising feature set. It looked like a powerful tool for community building. However, everything fell apart the moment I needed to change jurisdictions and update my Stripe account from the UK to the US. Following Mighty’s own guidance, my entire paying member base had their memberships cancelled. They were unable to subscribe to the new plan, and worst of all, they lost all of their private messages and access to the platform — permanently. This kind of disruption is not just a technical glitch, it is a massive breach of trust and continuity. The support experience has been nothing short of disgraceful. Response times stretched beyond 24 hours, and despite the seriousness of the issue, Mighty refused to get on a call. I was left stranded, with broken memberships and no clear path to resolution. For reference, I am the CTO of a large company, with over 40 years of technical experience and 20 years building online communities. I am not new to platforms, payments, or support processes, and this was handled shockingly poorly. This level of support might be excusable on a free platform, but not when you are paying a monthly fee and giving up a percentage of every membership transaction. They are profiting, but clearly not reinvesting in the kind of support infrastructure their customers deserve. If you value your community, your business, and your sanity, avoid Mighty at all costs. You will regret it the moment anything goes wrong.

Hi Sunil, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We take situations like this seriously, especially when they affect paying members and disrupt access to your community. I’ve reviewed your support request and understand the impact this had while updating your Stripe account. We recognize how critical continuity is in running a trusted, thriving community, and I'm personally reaching out directly to schedule a call and work through this. Thank you again for your candid feedback. Transitions like this should feel fully supported, and it’s clear we fell short of the experience we aim to deliver every time to our Hosts. We know trust is hard-earned, and we're committed to helping you move forward. Thank you, Chriselle
