Shipping Times Horrible Order Elsewhere
I purchased an in stock item on March 27th, 2022. I was quoted an initial delivery date of April 5th, 2022. After four days without being notified the item had shipped I contacted their customer service department, and was told that the delay was due to, "moving warehouses." I finally received a shipping notification on April 3rd, 2022. This of course is kind of odd since that's was a Sunday and most places aren't open on Sundays. I still have not received an actual estimate for the delivery date, and UPS states they're waiting for actual physical receipt of the package. So it's taken Midway one week to generate a shipping label on an in stock item. This is quite unsatisfactory. I cannot confirm, but I suspect that if I had paid extra for shipping my order might have gotten more priority. However, I wasn't in a huge rush and the quoted delivery date of April 5th, 2022 was acceptable. Well it's April 4th, and still no idea when the product will get here. If I had known about the shipping issues I would never have ordered from Midway. I am soo tired of companies using, COVID, staffing shortages, moving warehouses, or any one of a million other lame excuses to explain poor service. This was my first order from Midway, and it will be my last. If I can't expect you to ship an in-stock item in a timely manner why should you expect my money. Furthermore, after looking around their website Midway appears to be quite fond of price gouging on ammo. Their prices appear to be running ten cents per round more than almost anywhere else. Perhaps Mr. Porterfield needs to take a break from making YouTube videos, and investigate what's going on in the fulfillment department. Midway is a highly recognized brand among the firearm's community, and it's disturbing that their brand name apparently doesn't mean anything good. It's even more disturbing that their tarnished reputation is over something they can control. Midway and it's employees are responsible for how quickly items are turned over to the shipping companies. They are the ones pulling, packing, and shipping the items. Why are in stock orders taking so long to put a label on? Whatever the issues are they should fix them before they become synonymous with companies like Botach, Optics Planet, and Big Daddy Unlimited for their crappy shipping.
